8 deaths is quite a lot. For an S you're going to want to aim below 4 or 5, depending on game length. There are also other factors they put in, like wards placed and objectives helped taken down.

it might be your kda because idk how long that match lasted i only got an s from going 1/0/14 with 38 cs as mao support in a 24 minute game

yet i go 5-6-19 with 101 cs and 3rd in damage on my team as maokai support and get an A+

cuz the grading system is flawed its made up of whatever riot wants it to be and they can adjust and tweak everything in the formula to make whatever important they want to be... the grading system shouldnt ever be an issue for a player to strive for...

side now i go 3-3-11 maokai top get an S-

then another game shen top 8-3-18 143 cs only an A+

until riot points out and provides what exactly effects what in the grades the system is flawed and subjective

wards also count to it because that game i got an s in i placed a moderate amount of wards but mostly saplings so my rss wasn't empty much
