When I first played this game I was so fascinated by the story and lore. The game is now dull and unforgiving, simply what I mean is the game is completely unbalanced if you think I'm wrong just watch the LCS where you will find professional players always banning certain champions and selecting only the Champions that are strong in lane or late game. Example Warwick is not played past gold because he is not a "meta jungler". The balancing issues in this game are simply unreal Warwick Rammus are just a couple of example champions that are simply unbalanced like elise who cannot top or mid anymore but have become perfect in jungle because riot has basically made it so. The game mode ARAM was made by the community and yet nothing more has hit game modes since then it just screams uncreative.

pro players pick the way they do due to the gold distribution in pro games.

In pro games, there is only 1 real carry position: the ADC. That is because only they get to freefarm. Other roles have to rotate around the map, gank, etc.

In terms of pro game gold income, typically it is ADC > mid >>> top > jungle >>> support. That is why tanky tops and tanky junglers are extremely valuable in pro play: they have to deal with much lower gold income than in solo queue.
