Need a meaningful replacement to Atma's Impaler

I understand that Atma's Impaler was an item that had very little focus. Crit % and armor, all while considering health as a factor for the final build was just way too scattered. But the mechanic of gaining AD for having high health helped round out some builds. I am a sup/tank main and I used to build Atma's as a situational final power build on tank Thresh/Leona/Alistar if my team is having issues. This happened a lot in the Low Silver divisions and If I need to compensate for any degree of power I need to buy Rod of Ages early which is also sub optimal on that build but I have to build it early to make it work the best and that leaves me committed to building HP-tank versions of those supports right before mid-game gets into full swing. What I am lacking is situational diversity in my items. You keep talking about strategic diversity in jungle items and in support starting items, but without late game options I am limited in my early game options because I rely on a predicted calculated late game if my team needs it. Support is hard enough with all the blaming and complaining coming my way when I land a hook and get the tower to aggro an enemy champ at level 2; in most circumstances that would guarantee a kill; but in solo I can play optimally and not be guaranteed anything. I need more options late-mid game in order to make the most out of any game that goes bad and like most players if I don't see a way to win I want to surrender. Riot removing Atma's was not the problem; Riot leaving me fewer options when I need them most is.

Thanking you for your time.

Goose.

People don't get what the point of Atma was. People saw it and went "Fighters can stack health AND get AD from it? OP!"

That wasn't it at all though. They wanted to give fighters an option for an item which provided both armor and damage, but didn't want carries to use it. So, having Atma's damage dependent on your building health achieved that.

I still think removing it was a mistake.

A good AD/AR item might be possible in the future.

Another Atma, no.

Atmas was such a good item as it was. It was actually part of the core of my jarvan build. I built Ravenous Hydra, Randuin's omen, Atma's impaler, Sunfire cape, Spirit visage and Banshee's veil. It gave me about 70 something extra damage along with 45 armor and unpredictable crits. that's a lot of stats. I had just under 300 something damage. i think it was 278 damage.

I miss Atma's Impaler.

If it could come back with a different passive like granting percentage HP based off your bonus armor I think that would be sweet.
