Shaco Crit stacking issues with passive

Hi. With the coming of patch 6.22, I couldn't help feeling rather weak mid game on reworked Shaco, dispute getting the early lead, scoring some 6/1 early in game with a champ I know very well, being lvl 7 and averaging a near 88% win rate on. I wasn't worried about his changes as i knew from comparing the new and old skills/stats he's really not any weaker or stronger over all, just things moved about, power spikes etc. However, when taking a Crit related build path on new Shaco, understanding there my be more optimal builds now, I thought I'd see how it does.

There was one big issue I noticed, so i dove into two custom matches with a friend both going for about an hour to explore why. The MAJOR issue i found has to do with the passive when you build Crit, such as the common Static Shiv and Infinity Edge combo. I know a regular Crit deals 200% ad, with IE, 250%. Shaco's new passive lands for 195% (with IE) at lvl 18. Thing is as a Shaco trying to burst someone, I'm granted MUCH greater damage by IGNORING my passive. Yes, I get I have 100% chance to Crit with a back stab and only 50% chance with those 2 items around their front. However a regular auto, or a q auto to the front of someone is giving me 55% more damage, as a back stab 'mini-crit' OVERWRITES this and grants much less. As part of his kit, I should be rewarded for skillful back stabs, not punished. The second hit in the back, while passive is on cool down will do 250% while my first and every, say 3rd depending on attack speed will only do 195%. Making back its better when passive is on cooldown, no logic right?

I also understand that stacking them together would be stupidly strong, at 345% total, however, I'm curious to know why there's not some form of stacking ex: 250% regular Crit + 50% maybe of passive for bonus BACK STAB damage. Or some other scaling. If this is to discourage Shaco's from build Crit, then i can accept that, making him much more a 1 hit burst sorta champ then run for your life. I however, while loving that I can blow people up, I could before then play smart and do soooo much more by staying in team fights or duels, even vs a few tanks. Utilizing on my E's passive slow with every 2nd auto hit doing good ad Crit's with attack speed, I don't get why I shouldn't be allowed to do well sticking around in fights dealing huge damage.

I see this, if its the direction you want him to go, as making the average Shaco very limited in play style. I could burst, i could team fight, i could split, and i never ever found Shaco useless late like many do, just like other champ felt stronger and stronger. So I really really don't want to forget Crit altogether as a thing of the past and now build some hard ad to do incredible burst but then be a sitting useless deer in headlights. The fact i can generate 55% more damage by ignoring my passive mid game just doesn't makes sense, dealing roughly 780 damage in the back on Q auto, but then 1209 in their face. I'd like to know why you set it like that, even if backstab chooses to deal the greater number of the two, the back stab would still be pointless unless its scales on Crit percentage such as Ashes Frostshoot passive, or Jhins passive Crit to damage ratios, as the current mechanic is just silly and stupid, they need to work together, not negate each other, making half the stats on those items wasted gold for the back stab.

I can build some ap on Twitch and call it a waste of gold, it doesnt do anything, while build IE on Shaco actually makes me do less, even with the 70 ad, since its 55% less damage, its not just a waste of gold, its like, negative stats for backstab. Yes its still fine for the front tho. I would like to notify riot to this as I doubt this was the intended effect. Its just bad game health, telling new Shaco's to hit them in the back, when you do more in the front. Some new scaling needs be introduced next patch, making it at least turn even, such as front Crits doing 250% and back passive hitting for 270%.

the passive is overall big issue you also feel in the game. the dmg output mid/late on shaco feels extremly low compared to before the rework. It cant be that the passive is actually reducing the damage in late game - imho it acts like a debuff.....

So generally sait you should update your patch notes riot:
"We’re reducing the power of Shaco’s frustrating early ganks and translating that power into more utility within skirmishes" to "We’re reducing the power of Shaco’s overall by making his passive a debuff"
