Anyone else feelin off on Aatroxs auto damage?

Been trying him out and while ya I know hes more ability based combo whatever and that his passive dmg is high so thats why his autos are low... it doesnt make sense to me that he at the LEAST cant hurt you a bit with basics.. ( Not just from my play but when I face him I honestly wait out the passive) It's laughable damage almost akin to Garen to me.

Except Garen is tanky as balls and doesn't really need to kill you quickly like Aatrox seems to. And I aint shy to laughing at my own dumbass. Had him in aram playing around and found myself just.. not feeling right? Like my abilities could chunk and my passive but when I attacked say Kog'maw with an auto.. it was like I was tickling him.. and this is an adc.

I'm not saying he should be some auto attack focused power house or anything just at least make them feel abit better y'know? I don't know what do yall think?

I mean all of his damage is centered on a Q ability that is inconsistent with hitzones for max damage. Why that remains the case is beyond me. Either make Q damage more reliable or decentralize it and shift him to a auto spell thing like Kayle. So what if he gets a playstyle similar to hers, you cant keep making kits that are uber unique forever, you are gonna hit a wall at some point unless you want to make shit nasty to deal with (Akali pre-W change).

I play Aatrox sometimes and I've got no issue with the auto damage, they're usually a last resort anyway. What I hate more about them are the long ass animations (this goes for passive as well, trying to proc that shit while you have an attack speed slow like Nasus W on you is a nightmare).

They do become deceptively powerful when you've got a few items and you're in ult however. Not enough to compete with most other juggernauts maybe (the auto reset on E helps with this somewhat), but it's decent enough to fight off someone that's right in your face while you wait on cooldowns.
