New Pings For Patch 6.14 On Mac

The new patch 6.14 was released along with a set of new pings. Players can ping an array of cool downs, including items and spells. The problem I have is that I am playing on a Mac. This means that the alt button is substituted with the option key, disabling the access towards the new pings. Does anybody have a solution?

I use an external keyboard, so I don't know if that makes a difference. Sorry, the only advice I have is somehow figuring out how to force alt over option key in a setting.
