...literally nothing changed. At all. Every event occurred as if that AFK were playing. That generally doesn't matter until you get to Prize Fight where the mode literally depends on whether or not the players win, and guess what? The AFK is still there, still included, and still loses.

This game mode is more unoptimized than Smash Bros. Ultimate's online.

Noob here. How would they change it so if someone goes AFK, it doesn't harm the rest of the team? Isn't this an issue in every game mode?

There was a callout "a summoner has disconnected" and he never reconnected, i think the auto-attack setting in options made the server think he was still connected when they threw him into the duel.
