Besides all of the valid reasons this would be a bad change, your premise isn't correct. Crit as it is now is not a pure rng system, but a pseudo rng system. The general idea of it is as follows:
The more you don't crit, the higher your crit is
meaning:
with 50% crit, your 1st auto has 30%, second has 50%, 3rd has 70%, 4th has 90%, etc etc. This resets upon having a crit.
What this system accomplishes is drastically lowering the chances of someone truly RNG'ing a fight by getting 10 crits in a row with 20%, or getting completely scammed by going 0/10 with crits with 75%, while also avoiding a standard toxic trade pattern that would develop from your proposed change.
(obviously I used arbitrary %'s because I don't want to look up exact numbers/ratios rn, but you should get the idea. There is a certain # of attempts for your crit chance to be your actual crit chance, but I forget)
