Riot mentioned Quinn changes - but they haven't delivered. Now should be the time

I was looking through the Quinn PBE feedback thread, and saw Repertoir wrote, "To the players saying that her base play pattern feels bland now, I agree that there is some work to do on that front. The amount of damage coming from Q relative to passive feels off at the moment from what I can tell, and Skystrike in its somewhat vestigial form seems to be making things feel worse than if I'd actually removed it and put that power elsewhere."

Well, after all this time, Quinn is still fairly bland to play, with nothing being mentioned by Riot as to how they plan on mitigating that. After subsequent nerfs, hit kit is rather underloaded and she's not very fun to play. Also, with her Skystrike damage being nerfed to 0.4 of her total attack damage, I believe the time has come into removing it all together and putting the power elsewhere.

I agree, and it seems the Rep agrees. There are always may champs that need work, but I think it would be really worthwhile to put some resources into Quinn soon.

After Aatrox and Swain, I expect we'll get another update about the next champs to be worked on in a big way. Wouldn't surprise me to see Quinn on the GU list. I think she needs it.

IMO Quinn needs 2 changes:

  1. Her W could be a more interactive vision tool, something that gives the player more skill expression instead of just something where they just press it if the enemy jukes into brush or if the player is afraid of a gank. It should interact with her kit, her combat patterns, and make both more interesting.

  2. Her W passive should be moved to her actual passive. Numbers can be tuned for balance or whatever, but it just makes more sense IMO to have the passive effects that tie her kit and gameplay patterns together be all on her passive.

I’m actually more concerned by the fact that Valor has simply become another tool in her kit instead of having a core identity as part of her character. The fact that it’s just Quinn upsets me, just like how I’m sure some neglected Nunu mains are upset that Wullump doesn’t get enough recognition.

I wrote a thread about this some months ago but I think a simple change that could go a long way would be to move her ult to her passive. So that when she goes out of combat Valor flies down and speeds her up but also limits her mobility similar to Sion's ult. Then if she makes too hard of a turn or gets damaged Valor flies away and goes on cooldown. I think this would make the ability more skill based and less annoying late game when you're constantly pressing your ult whenever it's not activated.

Then her ult is freed up to be a combat ability. One idea could be that it requires her to be lifted by valor first and when you activate it you choose a nearby location and then they fly up into the sky becoming untargetable and then dive bomb a small area (maybe half the size of Galio ult) and deal a decent chunk of damage to all enemies hit.

I think they should keep her more utility focused instead of another generic damage dealer. Remove her crit scaling and make her a utility ranged ad.

She would make a great jungler if they did this, maybe even support.
