Does Zed jungle "Work"?

I know he isnt top tier for jungle, as theres better options, but does he work, planning on just spamming zed mid and jungle, but for jungle... if it "does" work, how would you build him? (runes, masteries, etc).

Why would you do this instead of going mid? Its like going jungle soraka, it works but why waste a better jungle spot when you are so much better as support.

As i said i plan on playing mid n jungle, and when i get jungle, id still like to play him, just cause "i like him".

Simple question, how would you play him in jungle?

IDK you might have to wait for some Zed jungle main to visit this thread if they even exist.

I myself have never seen a Zed jungle in my life. Or at least i don't remember it.

Theres a few from last season, with some gameplay where they just destroy cause they can gank like no other, but like i said, this was last season, and they were all diamonds. Just trying to find something more up to date.

It's not the best, but it does work in the sense that you wont be dying to camps every five seconds. If i had to describe it I'd say it's like yi's jg, only slower. I go with a 6/12/6 mastery page, flat armor, armor pen, and attack speed runes, with life steal quints. I haven't played it much though, so undoubtedly there's better combinations of runes/masteries if you fiddled around with it. But tbh, if you're new to zed, I'd say stay out of the jungle.

You don't take a Keystone Mastery (or the tier underneath it)?

That seems like an unnecessary handicap considering how powerful they are.

I have seen people do weirder things and believe it was a good idea.

Zed works in top, mid, & jungle perfectly fine....assuming you know how to play him well. A noob to zed would be terrible with him in the jungle, but someone who knows theyre doing with him can do extremely well. Youre going to need to win games quickly tho. Zed lacks cc, obviously, and the longer the game goes..the more impact cc has. Your team will lack cc with zed jungle. You need to win the early game and snowball the game quickly to win more than you lose with him in jungle. I'd still go with thunderlords on him in the jungle. Instead of armor pen marks (which is standard on lane zed) i would take AD marks and attack speed quints for better clear speed. The whole thing is dependent upon how good the player is with zed. A good zed can make it work well. Gank a lot and make your presense felt. Make the enemy scared to be the aggressors, for fear that you are hiding around ever corner.

I see alot of people saying "zed has no cc, so itll hurt your team".

Well whats the difference when he goes mid? He still has his slow, and if need be, he can go blue smite, plus would have red buff for the burn AND another slow.

I would imagine he would work well in a team comp something that fills in like so.

i know im leaving some champs out, but my point is, theres plenty of other champs that can do CC when theres a CCless jungler.(or little of)

Example: Evelynn Jax Khazix MasterYi Nidalee Olaf Pantheon Rengar Shaco Trundle

Now i know some of these DO have CC.. But their not hard cc, or easy to get out of, or you have to get in their face to use, and probably die if your team doesnt follow up, and you cant chain CC anythign together. As most of them as i suggested minus three, only have slows, if no CC, and high damage.

Zed does that as well doesnt he? With more mobility?

zed ideally works better in lane... best in mid he hits his power spikes faster as a laner and being an assassin that is very very important. also then damage you zed provides little to the team as a junger... you cant tank anything. you have no utility , you have no cc... so by picking zed jungle your team comp needs to have that else where. id assume his clears are slow ... and i bet he would be subjected to invades and wouldnt be great in that situation considering the amount of damage you took from the camp not having great sustain.

someone suggested attack speed and armor pen runes... i know for a better early clear flat ad is better armor pen scales better.... but attack speed im not 100% on considering you dont auto alot as a zed in fights and might benefit from flat ad reds, armor pen quints. armor yellows. and if you truly need some attack speed use as on your blues...
or you can run a pure ad page 15 ad with armor seals and what ever blues you see fit

i think the person who mention a 6-12-6 set up meant 6-18-6 and i assume your taking fury,feast in the 1st tree maybe double edge sword in the 2nd tree savagery , either runic affinity or assassin mastery.. merciless. dangerous game, precision and thunder lords and the last tree recovery and tough skin
