So I'm currently racing for rank one in NA, I'm now d4 and have ~65% win rate, 35 wins and 19 losses. I only get 16 lp from my win. Like, I understand the soft reset and everything, but isn't it too unnormal? I wouldn't even complain if I get 20-22 lp per win, but 16lp is just so... lol. Now I get 16-17 lp per win and lost 18 lp per loss. loss>gain even at the start of the season.
winning against a team that is lower than you might jsut give less LP and lsoing to people that shouldnt win might lose more LP
...and this is a prime example why Ranked and Matchmaking should be based off Win/Loss ratio and RESET every season.
LP and MMR are the worst designed Ranked and Matchmaking system the world has ever seen.
I'd go into detail and explain why you're suffering, but it'll literally just make you rage smash your monitor, falcon punch style.
Your LP gain is based primarily on the composition of the enemy team MMR in relation to yours. This situation means most likely you are being matched against teams with lower MMRs than you (this happens to people who are climbing at the beginning of the season, as there’s exponentially more players below you than above) - causing you to win more games (high win rate) but also not gain as much LP (due to the fact it is “easier” for you to be winning).
Your MMR will even out over the next few weeks as the ranked ladder somewhat stabilizes.
