face it riot. tahm is poppy levels of unhealthy. but a few changes can fix him

with tahms current numbers riot. i promise he will be firstpick / ban in all LCS games until he is fixed

right now he outputs assassin level damage and is the tankiest champion in the game . with tank builds from a toplane tahm hes throwing out Q's with hundreds of bonus damage, and all his attacks have the bonus damage, its crazy how he is so far gone past his power budget. experienced tahms with many games on him are pushing 70% winrates.

heres my solutions to tahm. how to change him to make him more fair

currently against toplane tahm, he is NOT "not sticky". no hes one of the stickest champions in the game

if the enemy jungler is nearby and you decide to hit tahm once, theres a 99% chance he can attack you once back, move to you and hit you again and Q and eat you. then your dead

tahm is a champion that if im facing toplane, i have learned "NEVER" fight him, EVER. i just stand near my tower and cs what i can safely and i might eventually be down 40 cs but at least i dont die in lane. because any time you try to hit tahm once or take a unsafe cs you get eaten and oh dang their jungler was hiding in the bush and your gone

no other champion is like this in toplane

and also adding to the fact that you never want to fight tahm is that mid-trade he will pop his shield making him immune to you for a few seconds while each moment hes closer to being able to eat you. tahm doesnt lose any trades because if he ever eats you he won the trade. and his shield lets him always tank all your damage and then eat you and the shields got like a fricken 2 second cooldown. so tahm wins every trade and cant be traded with

one fix tahm needs is give his shield (active) a 60 second cooldown. that way you can trade with the fricken thing in lane. let the passive always be there (so tahm can heal trades he escapes from) but give the shield a fricken 60 second cooldown

next. id say its not bad at all to create a champion thats easily kited (take garen for example) if it has tahms level of damage.

id say tahm and garen do comparable damage. but its WAY HARDER to kite tahm than garen

tahm needs to have garen level of "kite-ability" for his damage to be balanced

my solution? take tahms Q and make it apply a MR shred instead of a slow. and it doubles at 3 stacks (instead of stunning). id say a 20% mr shred for 10 seconds at all ranks is fine (allowing lane tahm to level W for damage with 1rank of Q for shred) . so thats 40% mr shred to one target that tahm gets (actually 2 targets with some CDR)

this also makes it so tahm highly wants to eat enemies to get his max damage (MR shred combined with eating)

so giving tahms Q a MR shred makes tahm have healthier gameplay because he always wants to eat enemies instead of his allies. and if tahm eats his allies he just lost a large power of his kit (MR shredded devour damage).

and it makes tahm much more kite-able if he loses his slow and stun. making opponents feel like they have much more ability to outplay tahm instead of just getting PERMA-CC'ed to death while taking assassin level damage from a god tank

there. now tahm has a bit more damage, but he doesnt fricken permaslow / permastun you. and he is kite-able like garen

still strong, but now tahm wouldnt be the CC god and TANK god and DAMAGE god in one champion

and now for my final change to make tahm healthy and have counterplay while still being strong

take tahms ultimate passive damage and change it to a passive self-sunfire that does 30/60/90 magic damage per second aoe. currently with tahms ultimate passive. that thing is doing 240 bonus magic damage every spell and autoattack at a max build. just crazy

my change to tahms ultimate passive would give around half of the magic damage to a single target at max build, while still having uses and utility

so my new tahm passive would be weaker in a 1v1 in most cases. but its still decent in a teamfight. and it gives tahm more splitpushing power due to the AoE

and next. this new ultimate passive also makes it so if tahm is behind in the game and doing badly, he still gets the damage from his ultimate (not scaling) without the need for him to have items. so its non-scaling power which lets a tahm thats behind still be useful and put out damage to help his team

next. this AoE ultimate of tahm and the other CC nerfs make him much much less attractive as a support option (but still strong) since he auto pushes the wave and has to stay away from minions

but still tahms ability to eat teammates will makes him a strong support. But with my combination of Nerfs and Buffs, he would probably be mostly played toplane but he would be much healthier in toplane

i think my aoe damage ultimate for tahm is alot better overall. think about it does tahm really fricken need the "scaling health damage for all attacks and spells" in his kit? it just seems like some kind of afterthought thrown in because they wanted more damage. i feel my change is alot better overall because it creates identity for tahm letting him be tuned more towards a splitpushing identity

now with all my changes to tahm i gave him more splitpush power but with the nerfs combined with the buffs i feel tahm should get one more little something added to his splitpush power and his ability to escape ganks since i made his ultimate auto-push the wave. and here is what im thinking would work well

here is my idea for the final cherry i would put into tahms kit to make him balanced, healthy, and with a fun identity thats fun to play against and to play as

make tahms Q give a movement speed buff when running away from enemies that the Q has hit. this also sounds like something just perfect for the catfish / frog thing where he whips you with his tongue then runs away. A 15% movement speed boost seems decent. so when tahm Q's you, he gets 15% movement speed increase when running away from you for 10 seconds (since the MR shred lasts 10 seconds)

and there. boom. those are all my changes to fix tahm and make him healthy, balanced, and good for the game. and no longer the MAXIMUM CC DAMAGE TANK demongod that he currently is at the moment

assassin level damages...yeah that's a lie.

Q does decent damage, and his R passive, but it's all single damage.

tl;dr, but tahm is super op, and can hypercarry. he is benched though. noone plays him enough.

I agree, Tahm needs a better diet.
