Me and my friends made a ranked team together ( we are all silver ) and in our first ranked game we got matched with diamond ranked players.
The matchmaking on this game is awful , if we are silver then we should be ranked with silvers.

Qarekeo1 votesBelieve it or not, matchmaking isn't based on Leagues and Tiers. League of Legends uses a hidden ELO-style ranking system to judge who you should play with and what points you get for winning/losing. This system is based on your previous experience in Ranked games, so you shouldn't be offended that you're being paired with diamonds.
This hidden system is to sort out players and help them play with people of their skill level. I get paired with golds and diamonds too.
ZACKandATTACK1 votesIt is your first ranked team game, so the server hasn't been able to determine your team's MMR. Same probably goes for the enemy team also
Wickedfates1 votesi just played a game in normals (i dont know if that matters) with a lv 10, a lv 13, 2 plats, and a diamond..... i can understand team elo and team matchmaking and so on, but how is it ever fair to match a lv 10 (or 13) against someone 3 times their level at lv 30 with a lot of experience (over a thousand games), including ranked... the low lv has no runes, 1 game won...
