Improvements
Likely this might be buried somewhere in the new boards. Hard to find out where in the archives or the buried messages it might be without time that I don't really have. But there are a few things that could be better for ARAM, though little things that are just better to know in general.
Let me start with the better in general. I know it has come up before. The other games modes shouldn't be beholden to Summoner's Rift in regards to surrender counters. It just seems that by the scope of the crew behind this game, you can program better than having a single framework for all game modes.
Also clarity is a huge focus, I suggest we change up the after death reports. You only get three damage tracks. Your killer and a couple of assists. But it is blatantly obvious that the assist are just the last hitters in succession from the killer. I propose you keep an assist, but also show the highest single source of damage. Too many times I have been nuked without a decent understanding of who was doing it, because they would start off with a huge blow, but then become hidden behind successive hits from other sources which finished me.
On the ARAM side, we need a couple things. Last hit cooldown timer. It really only matters in this mode, due to the lack of healing platform. So perhaps it is wanting too much, but when a strategy for the mode is too deprive the other team of gold, you need to know your turret dive isn't just tossing them a kill. And sometimes it is hard to tell when your last hit on you was. So some sort of indicator would be grand.
And my final and largest issue with ARAM. I get the mode, All Random All Mid. But the randomization needs to stop being overly one-sided. Perhaps assign champions to pools of related roles and assign a summoner one of the pools, just something to keep it balanced. Or if this is too much, then refer to my second paragraph. Let us out of one-sided matches earlier. If I have a team lacking any CC, no ranged and no tank, up against a balanced team with tanks, ranged and cc to spare, I will try to fight it out. However in general it is a slow bleed to the inevitable and I don't want to sit around and watch their kills tick up and up as the doom marches steadily closer.
