Can we have an option to vote to get out of champion select

mid mid mid I can only do mid so... mid or feed MID MID sorry buddy draft order, i got mid well then, guess im feeding the entire game

What do you do then? Do you hope some brave soldier dodges for you? Do you dodge yourself and wait out the five minutes? What if this happens twice or three times in a row? Do you give in and encourage this toxic and selfish behavior? There should be an option to vote to get out of champ select, just like games. So many games are an obvious train wreck in the first two minutes of champ select. Sadly we can't add a punishment to this system otherwise premades would punish people for not being support even though they are first pick. But there needs to be a way to stop games with people who obviously are going to ruin everyone's experience

Queue up as support and get instant queue pop. Go as adc or some other highly preferred role and here goes a good 10+ minutes LOL. Honestly, if they ever do anything like that, they need you to pick at least 2 roles as you go into it. For instance, someone who wants adc can choose adc as a primary role then choose one of the other four as a secondary role. This would improve the matchmaking of the game by lowering queue times while letting people play something they want. The only thing with this system is who gets their primary role over the other person? That would be one thing they need to work on, but the role selection before a game sounds nice.

I support all the time. There are more people who like to support than you think. There would also be people who would start supporting just to avoid long queue times.

I do know a few people that like supporting. But if i know a person that likes to support, there is no reason to actually use a role calling feature. If i don't know one i have to wait forever for 1 game.

That's one of the reasons why Team Builder is dead (it has a ton of other issues like having to pick champs, and being for normal games only(to be fair it was an experiment) though)

Team Builder is very much alive. I mean, I could see how you could have problems finding a group if you were a top or mid laner, but that's the price you pay in Team Builder for wanting to play the same role as everyone else.

My friends and I play Team Builder about 60% of our games because we know that we are guaranteed to get to play what we feel like playing and we are guaranteed to get randoms who are playing the leftover roles because they want to play them. If we wanted to play ranked, we'd play ranked 5s.

I would actually queue for support, I've gotten into many games where I find someone else who wants to support.

Not to mention how some will support purely because they're duoQing with an ADC main and they can play support somewhat well.

So that idea of why queue is actually not relevant.

You obviously don't play team builder because finding all the roles is actually pretty fast usually

If it's your first dodge, then it's 100% worth it. 3 LP + no wait is significantly better than the -10-20LP + 30ish minute you lose by not dodging. It'll help keep you sane as well.

Like team builder except you just queue up for a role. Once the 5 were assembled it would be like regular ranked with the ban sequence then picks. People not doing the job they queued up for would be entirely reportable. I think it would make it a much less toxic atmosphere. I'd take a longer wait time for a better gaming experience. I'm sure I'm not the only person.

They would need to tweak the roles I guess. Something like picking your favorite 3 roles then q'ing up would have to be added because finding a support in normal team builder can take 10 minutes sometimes.

What i dont get is people who come into these games who can only play one role! dont get me wrong having a role you like to play is fun an all, but dont expect it all the time especially when you are playing solo!

I can play roles other that adc/mid but I always lose when I don't play those cause I suck at the other roles.

Gotta go in with at least 2 or 3 roles you're comfortable with. Me, for instance, I love to support. Failing that, I'll aim for jungle and then mid.

Report and in-game shame. And never give them their role.

Though for the record I agree with Bunta - I've taught myself to be at least competent at every role but jungle (and I can wing it with Rek there if forced). I mean, I prefer to go Mid and have the most practice there, but eh,I'm flexible so long as people aren't asses about it.

And Support is my fallback role if Mid's full.

its like this - those people, those who do that, will always be bronze, they cant work with a team, they cant... and solo q is all about your performance, so when it comes to such actions, unless your first or second pick always request a fill, because that will carry you, (and give your team) a win, its just that simple.

I can work with a team, i jungle or support, so i HAVE to work with my team, still silver 4 cause my team wont listen when theres a Sion , Alistar , and a Zac and their ONLY 2 CARRIES ARE Veigar and Lucian . i am JarvanIV and i e q w r and smite the lucian, in the middle of our team, and they go and focus the tanks, So that solo q is all about YOUR performance is dead wrong, its about LUCK also

Tell them not to focus the tanks. If they still do then you can't do anything about it, but in my experience as an ADC main if i do well and start to tell the team what to do, when to dragon, where to ward, when to rotate, a lot of games go well.

We need to have the option to just vote that person out in ranked at least since it matters there. And their premade friend doesn't get a say in if his buddy is kicked or not.

I believe it's Lee that they don't nerf, not Zed. Zed "nerfs" (base attack speed? really?) are on the way soon.

And they don't have to do anything to make League better than HotS. Or Smite, for that matter. Both combined are smaller than League.

I agree this is a problem. Especially with league of mid or top that we have going on right now.

And if you're the type of player who likes to fill, you may as well just say you main support or jungle cause they're the only two roles you'll ever get.

Maybe you should be able to dodge like rerolls in ARAM. Like you can stack up to two of them, and you earn a little bit towards it after every game. That way you can dodge a toxic queue like the one described and not be punished, but you could never do it more than twice without having to play a bunch of games. If it were set up like this it would at least hopefully teach people to only do it sparingly. And if that's too much, what about only being able to do it once? At least give us that much. We've all had games that were train wrecks before they started and I know in my case dodging seems like the best idea in these scenarios. 5 minutes is worth it.

Ironically the only people this wouldn't help are people who "main" the most preferred role, like mid. They'd still have to contend with the fact that the other 4 people on whatever team they inevitably end up on main mid as well in literally every match. But for those of us who don't main mid, we could at least dodge queues where people threaten to feed or actually take legit troll picks and save ourselves from a minimum of 20 minutes of frustrating futility.

this is where you report this trash win or lose and hope rito does something about it. Sometimes you will be on the opposite team of the trolls, so it balances out anyways. I mean, i know you thought you wrecked that top lane so easily because you are making lcs big plays :p

Maybe you should learn to play a different role or 2 You should know how to reliably play 2-3 different champions, for each role before you go into a ranked game, that way if your mains in each role get banned, or you're forced into a role you don't call, you can still preform well enough.

Until then you've got nowhere to complain, look at yourself before asking Riot to add an entirely new thing to the game because you and the people you're playing with can't play more than Mid or ADC or something stupid like that.

He never said anything about it being ranked, so someone not being able to play each role is common. Also it clearly sounds as if he is talking about someone else saying these things.

You didn't pay attention to his post at all did you? Don't come on the forum trying to sound smart by spouting logic to shame the op when it doesn't apply to the situation he's talking about. It's obvious he wasn't talking about himself but a common issue in normal and ranked que.

I find the answer most people use for this problem to be wrong. If said person comes in and states they are good at one role, if you denie them this role you are hurting your team because he is on your team unless you plan to dodge. But he is now in a role he is not effective at and you may or may not even be any better for that role. remember you both are in the same elo so taking roles from people who claim thats all they play is detrimental to the health of your game.

Sure you can say pick order and so on but riot has even stated this, do not be so quick to fall to the default rule of pick order when they clearly want you guys to communicate in champion selection so players can better fit roles with their team.

If you want to deprive them of a role they claim to only play or be good at you sign your own game awhile. Also whos to say they only have runes/masterys/Champions for said role. You dont know that do you so you just do as you want and say fuck every body else right?

Not everyone in solo que is a one trick pony but when you get them do your best to help the team or you do your best to not help your team. The decision is up to you.
