SUPPORT IN NORMAL DRAFT MATCHMAKING ISSUES

As a player, i like to get my practice games in before I grind ranked.... HOWEVER, these past few days when i go to play normals to get my warm ups in, I get matched with people Silver or under and never gold or up, It's awful practice and genuinely needs to be fixed, i hopped on my smurf to test this out as well in other roles (normal draft), but it seems only as a support player in que am I finding these huge deficits in rank in my normal games. Is this intentional for support que orrrr whats happening riot, because it sure as hell isn't good practice and I won't hesitate to leave these games!
