How are people building Aatrox that they think he is so Garbage
I just wanna know
I just wanna know
They're probably trying to build attack speed instead of defensive stats, then getting upset because they die before they can use his passive.
- Aatrox looks like he's almost certainly too weak by a noticeable margin. We're looking at possible buffs, with a decent chance we hotfix at least some of them out. We would expect Aatrox to struggle somewhat as players adapt to new builds, the changed passive etc, it looks like his kit's just too weak as well though. Le Blanc, Varus and MF may also have been hit too hard, so we're both looking at where they've landed to understand it better and considering what we'd do if that were true (want to answer questions like impact on Support MF versus ADC MF, how much LB's performance is affected by some players not yet changing skill rank up orders etc).
Do you have any advice on how to build him? the recommended doesnt seem to have changed, Sidenote: i did rush frozen mallet , deaths dance on him in the one game ive played with new him and it worked pretty well
If they build him damage - They have 0 way of getting close to/stacking to their target and even if they do chances are unless they somehow get super fed they aren't going to do jack shit for damage especially compared to the meta picks
If they build him tank - Tanks are currently useless as is, making someone who has barely any sort of CC what so ever a tank and have him do basically 0 damage isn't good. + you HAVE to have a lot of attackspeed on aatrox if you plan to make use out of his W sustain.
If you build him ap - lolwhytho
He really is garbage. He doesn't do anything and the very limited niche things he can do other champs can do it better. Zac for ex does anything aatrox can do 10x better
I actually posted a suggestion on how to build him a few hours ago lol. Basically players are still playing him attack speed AA focused, but they just start furher behind since the bloodwell fills slower and he lost a bunch of attack speed while filling the bloodwell. I think
should be core on him now since he wants to focus on building his bloodwell rather than autoattacking, which means using his abilities more. The change of his E to physical from magic means DD physical-vamp and BC physical pen are better on him too. So now he'll get health, ability-vamp, no more health costs, more tank penetration and damage delay (which synergizes really well with his lifesteal healing).
I only tried maxing W first, then E second, but it might be just as good to do it the other way around. Also you have to learn how to manage his bloodwell before a fight. Specifically during laning phase and while jungling, maintaining your bloodwell at 4/5 before Qing onto your next target (the next camp or your lane opponent) means you start the fight with blood rush and can really outtrade someone or clear a camp quickly. I also changed my runes to run 33% attack speed and rush recurve bow before building BC and DD.
I usually build this, it's great for telling the enemy team they can't kill you.
