Does Malzahar's new Ultimate (from 6.9) can hit more than one champions at the same time?

I saw on the new Malzahar champions spotlight (6.9) that Malzahar’s new ultimate is activated like an area of effect instead of like a “Click-to-Win” Spell. Does it mean that Malzahar can suppress more than one champion in the area of his ult? If yes, I think, as a Malzahar main, that I’m going to love the new patch!

It only suppresses one target

no. hits one champ and the aoe pool is centered on the champ being suppressed.

no 1 target will be surpressed and everyone on the zone will get damaged. team fight wise its a quite good 6% max hp damage is pretty hefty.

I think you're going to like him anyway. Having a small army of 6 voidlings on something is a lot of fun.

Basically they moved his current W into his ult. You cast it like his current ult, and it still suppresses that single target, but the damage is done solely by the pool. Q is unchanged, E now refreshes its duration if you hit it with Q or R, and his Passive is essentially a free Banshee's.
