Talk of a new Galio Passive

After seeing the latest Patch notes 5.6 and loving the minor changes to Galio's E (Such a fun spell) I was reminded of a discussion from like 2 years ago about a new Passive for him and MR Ratios put into his other spells or having power shifted around to make him more versatile in build and when not fighting mages. Just wanted to know why these changes were dropped or they are just hidden away somewhere more or less forgotten about with bigger reworks and gameplay updates taking precedence.
