If you want to climb, read this.
I'm going to start off by saying I am only Silver IV (almost III) and that if you disagree, then you disagree. You can have your own opinion, but these are my tips, also I put this into the gameplay board because I didn't know what else to put it in xD
Also, please upvote this so more people see it! ^.^
I started playing this game in season 3, and ever since then have been in bronze until now. So I hated trying to get out of bronze, and now its Iron. So going on, I was Bronze II last season and this season I was placed in Iron II on all my roles. And in just a week and a few days, got to Silver IV in top lane by one tricking Kled.
Tip 1: Don't pick a champ just to match your team comp. You should ALWAYS choose a champion that you are comfortable with playing, and know you have a high chance of winning with. In my case it was Kled. Because, if you're going against a level 7 Riven and you're playing a champ you barely know how to play, you are probably going to lose the lane. And a fed Riven late game isn't that fun!
Tip 2: Pick your two desired roles (I'm using Jungle and Top as an example), and pick one or two champions in each role that most of the time won't get banned, and that can be useful for the team and master those champions. If the only champions you are comfortable playing with are banned a lot, then head into some norms and try some new champs! I have 72 games with Kled in just this season, not a single game has he been banned. For the two champions for each role, I picked Kled (Kled is AMAZING at roaming, hence being useful for the team. And his ult, q, and e, are good for engaging.) and Gnar (Perfect ult for teamfights, and can split push well imo) for top, then Kayn and Lee Sin for Jungle. They both are good at ganking in my opinion.
Tip 3: How to know if you should keep playing games. This one is rather simple! Just had an easy win? Keep playing! Had a really hard fought game but you won? Take a break, relax for a little bit! Had a really hard fought game but you lost? Take a break, relax :) Got exterminated? If you're tilted, stop playing and take a break. If not, keep going. I know that might seem like a lot of breaks, but trust me it helps. The break has no time limit, it can be an hour, or it can be a few minutes.
Tip 4: You're only in Bronze because you have bad team mates right? Any game can be won, if they're talking trash and tilting you. Mute them. Immediately, I know some people who got out of bronze my muting everybody at the start of every game. If you go into any game with the mindset, 'we're going to win this.' Then you probably will, if you keep thinking that thought. Don't let a feeding bot, or a jungler that won't gank, or even an enemy jungler that's camping you tilt you. If you ever have watched the streamer Sirhcez, he never gets tilted its crazy. I'm not telling you not to get tilted, everybody gets tilted sometimes, but ways to avoid it. Being nice to your team helps sometimes! This "fourth tip" is actually just a bunch of tips, but that's okay.
Tip 5: Coming back. Coming back has a lot to do with not being tilted, but I talked about that in the last two tips. Something that will help you come back is vision. If you have more wards then the enemy team, you're going to see them before they see you, this will stop them from hopping on and killing your entire team. Avoid fighting as much as possible, and focus on vision, farming, objectives, and not dying. With Season 9 inplace, bounties can get up too 1000 gold! If you are forced to fight (if you don't have too, don't!) then you should focus the enemy with the highest bounty (most of the time) because that's a lot of gold for your team. And gold is big for coming back.
Tip 6: Premade. If you have a friend online that's good at the game and isn't a jerk, play with them! Solo queuing can work, but playing with a friend is easier. If you're like me, and for some reason have like 200 friends on League, then usually atleast one of them is on. Invite them to a norms, and if you do good, try ranked! With a premade, you have better communication. At the bottom of this kinda guide thing I will place a discord where you can play with me and some chill people I know that are B1-P1.
Tip 7: Warming Up. Well, to be honest with you whenever I got on league during my ascend from Iron II to Silver IV, I would just immediately hop into a ranked match. I don't think that was a good idea though, the games I did lose, were the games that I didn't warm up on. If you can, play a normal draft before you play ranked.
Tip 8: The littler, but big things. When do I engage? A time you should usually engage into a teamfight is when its and 5v4. Make sure you know that that 5th person isn't just hiding around in a bush though. Only engage if you just saw the 5th person recall, if you see them in a whole other lane, or if they're dead. You should also be aware of you and your enemies cooldowns. Does most of your team have their ults? What about their summoner spells? You can check all that by yourself, but for the enemies cooldowns you just need to be a little observant. Did I just see that Lucian flash? Didn't that Amumu just waste his ult? And if you think you should engage after just thinking for a little bit, do it! If not, don't. If a teamfight goes bad, the game can be completely over.
Tip 9: Have fun! That doesn't mean throw though. :)
Tip 10: STAY STRONG: Just because you completely dominated early game, does NOT mean they aren't going to come back. Keep thinking, "We got this!" and keep playing how you were. I've played games where either my team or the enemy team came back from a fatal early game, so stay strong.
Wowzers! I'm sorry if there are any grammar or spelling mistakes. And this is my first guide/tips thingy so it's bad xD But thank you so much if you read this all and doing these really helped me climb out of bronze and iron in just a week. You can do it too!
