I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me to climb out of Bronze V and into Silver. I was placed in Bronze III before but now am in Bronze V. I can never seem to win alot of my games. Can someone let me know if I'm building anything wrong, or if any of my runes and masteries are out of place? I am always trying to look for places to improve on. Thank you! Here is my summoner profile: https://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=adrag777.

To climb out of bronze 5, try looking at your screen while playing, maybe plug the mousse as well.

(Joke aside, looking at your profile and commenting seriously in 2minuts).

Edit :

  1. Pick 2 champions and only play them, you improve through repetition
  2. In general marksmen are harder to play, teemo is in this category, plus the fact he's not really meta, but you can climb with him.
  3. Your cs score is very very low. You can at least double it with few efforts, aim for 5 or 6 cs a minut minimum, train it in custom game.
  4. You die a lot, when does this happen ? 1v1 ? Ganks ? Teamfights ?
  5. you can look on championgg, opgg, probuild for builds, dont mix up builds. You dont want a guinso if you do not have already another on hit item for example.

This is a very good guide. I would put a lot of emphasis on point #1. That is a good one.

Great tips man! I think my original mistake was that I started playing rank without fully understanding all the game mechanics, leading me to get placed in Bronze V. Hopefully with enough practice I will climb out. Thanks!

Oh also the best method to improve is to have a friend better than you who will play with you and tell you your mistakes.

I find that when I want to improve, I actively pick one thing to work on until I get better at it. And there are lots of things to this game.

Some basic things to get better at :

Die less - when you die, you are not just giving the enemy team 450g, you are giving them time without you on the map, which means they are getting even further ahead. Aim for < 5. (I avg ~ 3)

CS more - If you are a laner, you should be shooting for 5-6/m minimum.

Ward - Make sure you are placing your yellows, upgrade at 9 (most don't at lower tiers).

Keep an eye on the mini - This goes hand in hand with warding. If you are warding, but not checking the mini to see what the wards see, then.....

Use pings. MIA is probably the most important.

Don't chase, dive, or otherwise make risky plays if you aren't 75% sure of the outcome or have vision. SO often, I see people with 2-3 bars of health reengage a retreating enemy that is at more than half health...then they wonder why they die 2 seconds later.

An addendum to the above....RECALL if you are low. So many people stick around to get a few extra gold to buy that item or think they can get that enemy who is alos low. DON'T. I see this backfire more often than not....even a 50% chance isn't good.

Shop fast - If you die, shop when you are dead. If you are backing, you shouldn't spend more than 2-3s buying new stuff and running back out. I see so many people back before they have enough gold for something (so they wait) or they are looking around the items (every second you spend at spawn is a second the enemy is getting ahead). (Use item sets.)

The list goes on and on....but these. I think, are a good start.

In your last 20 games the highest cs you had was 187 ... in a 41min game...

Hey... He's asking tips to get better. please keep your useless comments like this for yourself. we've all been there.

useless comments

Lol?

For people that apparently can't read : FARM BETTER

Hochelaga2 votes

What. He's BRONZE V. Do you realise that even if he WANTS to farm better, clearly he can't do it as well as higher divisions

Instead of saying stuffs like. Farm better, get better, don't feed, care to elaborate HOW?

Your first comment is filled with a sarcastic tone trying to laugh at that player which is why I find it rather useless.

Like .. last hit minions?

Isn't that the point lol? He has to learn to farm better

Take one paid lesson with a coach. You'll probably hit Bronze 2 after that. Worked for me. Getting told by an expert in real time what you're doing wrong is invaluable.

tbh i wouldnt pay for coaching at this level. you can find a ton of videos on youtube for free if you know how and where to look. Need to find a good informational streamer. heres one that i think is probably the best teacher ive ever seen for league. im a little biased though because im an ad main. Compare and try to copy what this guy does, visit summoner school on reddit, and you should improve.

You might not. But it clearly works, and fast. There's no substitute for someone telling you an actual thing you did is wrong. No need to see a video and work out how it relates to what you're doing.

Doesn't even have to be expensive. Some of the plat coaches are $5 an hour, and they'll still get you out of bronze pretty fast.

Did you post two of these threads?

Lol yeah. I didnt know if I was going to get any replies at all. Thank you people so much for the feedback! I am going to try applying them to my games now, hopefully I get better :)

pick OP champions with high mobililty so u can farm, take all the minion creeps and split push.
Learn how to take advantage of mini map: if you see 5 enemy team at mid, you DO NOT go to mid and help your team, you farm and split push, take all the gold from minions and even a turret or two. (if you see 4 enemy on the map and 1 is missing, still split push but plan your escape with early vision and out run them)

Let your team mate die, if you help them, you will end up dead and lose exp, time and gold. **** Use your team mate as a battling ramp, let your team weaken the enemy and you go in to finish the job.

Very important: at Bronze elo. NEVER EVER PLAY SUPPORT.

Adrag7771 votes

Lol yeah I realized that few players appreciate support :'(

Starcraft243ver comment is quite good, but I would emphasize his point 3), CS. You can go out of Bronze 5 just by CS'ing better. Maybe not all the way up to Silver, but at least back to Bronze 3, for real. Just CS better.

Not saying the rest of his points are bad, they are in fact quite good. But this one is really, REALLY simple and quite underrated.

A small, but easy one: stop playing Thresh.

He's arguably the highest skillcap support in the game. You shouldn't be playing him in bronze. Stick to simpler supports.

I've also looked at your match history, and have noticed that your roles are all over the place. Pick one main and one off role. Get good only at those. Don't practice other roles. It's very unlikely that you'll be auto-filled anyway at this elo.
