Two games in a row my JG has been banned because people on the team didn't like my pick.
Is there something wrong with Shaco jungling? I've never seen him do anything else. It's absolute BULLSHIT that you can ban your own teams champions!!
Not saying that your situation isn't fair.. But there are times where there is a really op champion in the meta that you "have" to ban or else first pick it. If your team doesn't have first pick your teammates may not want to risk not banning it in hopes the other team doesn't pick it before you. Different situation but because of it they have to allow banning anything to prevent power picks going to first pick every time.

If it keeps happening to you, then don't indicate your pick until the bans have finished. They recently fixed it so that you can re-open the pick intent tab at any point before your pick, so make use of that.
This is a poor solution for the reasons ZENITE has explained: you don't want a pick/ban champion being taken by the enemy team because your last pick wanted to play it (even if it would realistically be taken before their turn was reached).
While there is nothing wrong with Shaco jungling, I personally prefer not to have one on my team. Most of the Shaco players I have seen are not very good with him, Shaco falls off quite badly in teamfights (regulating him to split-pushing or picks), and he offers very little utility to his team.
In addition, Shaco's lack of CC and durability from a position which typically provides one or both can really screw up team compositions. For that reason alone, I dislike seeing him jungle while on my team.
If you're 5th pick, and have a champion selected that has an incredibly high pick/ban rate it likely wouldn't fall to you anyway. It sucks when it happens, but I can't agree with your post.
