First Timing Champs in Ranked

I would be shocked if this hasn't been posted a million times before but I'm just curious if there was a way to make it so you can't first time a champion in ranked. I've always been of the belief that you play ranked when you really want to try hard, playing your best champions to increase your chances in winning. It just seems wrong to me that people are allowed to first time a champion because they clearly aren't trying their hardest to win. I understand that you should be allowed to play whichever champion you want but you also shouldn't be allowed to ruin the game for you 4 teamates by basically making them play a 4 vs 5 as you learn your champion. Learning your champion can be done in Co-op or normal games where people will care less if you aren't playing well.

The game I have linked above is a decent example of this and I hope this doesn't come off as me flaming him because that isn't my goal but he clearly wasn't trying his hardest to win this game: first timing Quinn and rushing Stormrazor.

yeah it has been posted before. legit a simple fix i have always suggested was having a mastery limit of M3 before its eligible for ranked, so you can therefore prove at the very absolute least, you know what the champions kit does and basic combos and builds.

Honestly, I think I would be okay with one game. I have a smurf and it would be a bit annoying if I had to get the champions I already know how to play up to mastery level 3.

true but its a decent safeguard at least, mastery 3 takes about 7 or so games.
