League of Legends Match History

I don't understand how normals matchmaking works. I am gold 5 level and have to constantly play against plats and the occasional diamond. This particular game I had Riven at 1/14 prior to leaving laning phase, you can see we still lost, after checking post game I realized Vayne Lee Sin and Riven on the opposing team were all platinum... and of course when my team lost they wanted to rub being gold in my face saying "how's gold?" and "worst lee..." Anyway, ranting aside. I do not understand why I have to face against platinums or higher nearly every game. Its very frustrating being able to hold my own decently well but just eventually losing because my team was all Gold 4 and under...

TLDR;

Why do I at gold 5 have to face platinums and higher every game, I would much rather just go against my own gold group....

Screw that. I'm bronze and have to play with golds/plats in normals. How do you think I feel?

I would like to know this too >.< I'm unranked and just recently got to level 30. I hardly played any normals (due to being scared from my friend) and it's silly I know, but I get put into games with silvers and low level golds and the occasional bronze. So it's hard to learn how to play normals for me ;c

Well normal and ranked MMR has nothing at all to do with each other You can have bronze MMR in normal que if you just troll around or something And be Plat/Diamond or whatever in ranked

The enemy might have a low normal mmr compared to high their rank is or you might have higher normal mmr compared to how high rank you are Or a mix of both
