I was looking at probuilds earlier and noticed almost everyone was getting eye of the oasis on Soraka. Personally I didn't think this item was very good, but now I am curious as to why one might build this and why it's good. Any insight?

yellow line was gutted, lost passive gold gen, and gives no more ms anymore, to roam. practically janna and soraka can be the only ones to use the line now, as righteous glory gives better engage anyway, and when they do go yellow line, they go oasis because it's safer and gives another slot for utility while providing nice stats
Zielmann1 votesWell, Ancient Coin restores 5HP each time a nearby enemy minion dies, and after that, Nomad's Medallion has decent HP regen on it. That's a critical stat for Soraka. And Eye of the Oasis has 150% base HP regen on it, compared to Talisman's 100%, so that upgrade is the best for her regen anyhow. As an added bonus, she gets to upgrade her base sightstone early on, which means she gets that useful additional ward charge on the item pretty early.
