Assassins - toxic meta?
I think that we can all agree on the fact that assassin isn't the most team-friendly role in the game, in fact, it's the most selfish role. Imagine people going for this role for the last year and a half. Oh wait... we don't need to imagine, we just need to join a normal game and witness the results.
Now, I don't wanna sound as if I'm raging (which I am on the inside), but I am SICK of assassins. We can all agree that since Yasuo came out, almost all the AP champions within the game have been countered, and thus, eliminated from the game. Don't believe me? Then please tell me, when was the last time you've seen a Brand, a Lux, or a Ziggs? When was the last time you've had to split your team to avoid a Brand ultimate, or having trouble pushing due to a Ziggs? This may sound as if I'm only showing the negatives, but these scenarios made you having to make proper decisions and coordination, and they really changed the playstyle from one game to another, making games more varied. Now... it's the same thing... same playstyle against same type of enemies. I remember back in Season 3 when I was breaking the meta by playing supports on mid. When I was poking the living hell as Sona, having the most OP wave clear and sustain with Soraka, exciting and annoying duels as Lulu or the calm laning phases as Janna. Now I can no longer play them on mid due to assassins, one in particular, Yasuo.
About those results after 1-2 years? Nowadays, people don't want to take champions that require you proper skills, people just wanna take what's easy, or what's broken. People only want that 10% that screws over the other 90%, that type of champion, that doesn't matter how retarded it is, they want something to just fuck everyone else. Proof that I've even started to see assassins on bot lane as well, LB or Ekko. SERIOUSLY, I am looking at the community now and comparing it to how it was 2 years ago. It feels as if it's just getting worse and more toxic by the game. And I'm not talking from any perspective, I'm talking from the perspective of a support, from the pov of someone who likes and mains support, of one who enjoys helping other in carrying the game. However, the feeling is not mutual. I feel as if no one gives a fuck about its support anymore. I feel as if I'm in a match of Counter Strike, where no one cares about anything but their personal score. Even the adc is getting more and more cold towards its fellow support.
Riot, please, do something about these assassins. I am sick of having to play against and with the same type of rude players, they are growing by the game...
A quick summary... I wanna have fun once again, without having to suffer in the next 5 matches...
