Champion roles

There are some champions that I believe need a definitive role in the league game. Yes I know there are updates and reworks in the process but there still are champions that I think need to be more defined. For example, QuinnQuinn . She's not used as an ADC and she's not good in the jungle. Her clear isn't good at all and ganks only happen when you have the damage to put out. This is just one example I want to give. There are other champions that need to be defined but Quinn is one of my favorites. I played her mid for a while and I've gotten to mastery level 6 with her playing that role. But my interests have switched to jungle now and she's not all that good. I think buffing her early game base damage would really help with that. This is just my opinion but again it's one champion out of hundreds. I've had tremendous success with Master Yi and other meta champions for the jungle like Warwick, Graves, and Ivern. But Quinn has been my pocket pick ever since she came out. Other champions such as mages being used as supports (Malzahar), or double tank bot lanes (Leona, Blitzcrank). I think we need to look into these play styles and see what we need to tweak in order to solidify their roles in the game.

leona and blitzcrank do have defined roles, they are supports

The problem with Quinn is that she toes the line between too many classes without being great at any particular one.

  • She can't find consistent success as a Marksman due to her short range, lack of late game scaling, and Vault, which forces her into melee range

  • She can't function as an Assassin because she lacks a reliable escape

  • And she doesn't work as a Fighter because she lacks the necessary defense tools to thrive in sustained combat

Until Riot decides what they want Quinn to be, she'll likely continue to be a subpar pick mix of all three roles.

Another problem Quinn faces is that her most favorable lane is precisely where squishy champions don't tend to go, which is top lane. IMO, Quinn would be much better served in a lane where fragile damage-dealers thrive, like mid or jungle. This way she has a definitive place in a team comp without sacrificing the solo lane tank.
