A small change to change everything.
Hello there! In this post I won't go into very deep math, I just want to show people what I think and if you agree up vote this so people can see it.
So I was thinking that tanks are always strong in the most recent seasons even though right now they might suffer a bit cause of the Conqueror keystone but they rest of the champions who cannot really be viable using it still find themselfs in difficult situations when facing tanks or more specifically... defensive stats. I just think that it's very ridiculous how only 100 armor or 100 Mr can reduce incoming damage by 50%!!!its too damn easy to get those stats. Because of it you will see mana hungry mages (Cass, ryze, aurelion) use abysmal mask and still be very hard to kill while doing large amounts of damage. Abyssal gives them too many stats and a very good passive(just an example). Thus I want to suggest something to the Riot balance team. Change the defensive stat formula. make it so it's roughly the same damage reduction percentage with the starting defensive stats the champions already have but when someone hits 100 points or armor or Mr it reduces less that 50% incoming damage, for example 40%. This way a damage dealing champion won't be tanky with just a defensive item or semi defensive ( zonya's, hexdrinker). Tanks these days don't even bother buying more than 150-160 armor or Mr anyway they can easily reach 50-55% damage magical or psysical reduction and then they focus on hp stacking. Prevent non tanks from buying one defensive item and be unkillable and reward tanks for building 2-3-4 armor or Mr items. This way,Champions who want to deal damage will deal damage as it was intented (not being stopped by a single defensive item the enemy bought) and tanks will be much more valuable cause everyone will not be buying tank items anymore except if they are a tank. Of course many balance changes would follow but thus is just the basic idea that may actually result in a more fun game.
I need your opinions below guys. Thanks for your time.
