I'd like to get better at Azir - Tips?

Title.

Any general tips you can offer? I'm still trying to get the hang of Mr. Shurima, and I'll admit that I've flailed around a lot in doing so.

Build path? I've been experimenting with a RoA start, but not sure if it's better or worse than Nashors start.

Should I use the passive tower whenever I feel like it, or would it be better to save it in case of a big fight in one of the lanes?

Always save your passive tower for a teamfight or when an enemy is pushing up a lane too hard.
Nashor's tooth as of right now is, overall, the best starting item in an average game on Azir, mainly for the AP and CDR. By the time you hit level 6 and you have a Nashor's, you can start making some big plays with Azir's "Magical Journey" and his ult.
Rod of Ages is great on him when you have a harass heavy lane ie. Yasuo, Zed, Syndra, Jayce.
And I'm sure you knew this but just try and stay out of the thick of the fight. You're squishy, let your soldiers do your work.
Last but not least your ideal build on him should just include max cdr and high AP. A little survivability is always good, so Banshee's Veil or a Dead Man's Plate is never a bad idea.

**Magical Journey is a nicknamed ability combo with Azir. Place a soldier in a location, usually over a wall. Dash to the soldier using E and MID-DASH press Q and command a soldier to a location. Azir will follow them to the location and you can make insane escapes or plays overall with this.

I never gota straight answer for this, ive asked gold players, and even diamond players and got different answers from each side.

What items does Azirs SOLDIERS AA's apply?

Secondaly, depending on the question above, i'd figure this would be an good build on him?

For build first of all get two Dorans so you have mana, go nashors into rylais into death cap then build as per what the enemy is building. If enemy is a Ad heavy team you can do zhonyas but I personally like nashors>rylai>deathcap>void staff>ludens but again replace ludens with either zhonyas(like if they have a zed you almost have to build zhonyas earlier), or Abyssal scepter etc

The guy who said Max CD-R is completely wrong. That's how it used to be but its not anymore because he doesn't scale attack speed with CD-R anymore. That guy must not have seen that patch, now the as scales with his w.
