Hi, I'd like to restate my initial suggestion that you develop a surrogate system for games with leavers in them. Banning is outdated by about 10 years and barbaric. All you have to do is offer an incentive in IP or RP or even a special ward to people who volunteer to act as a surrogate in a team with a leaver on it.
This would solve a listably infinite number of problems. 1.People who leave from frustration would be replaced. 2.People who leave from time constraints will be replaced. 3.People who leave from emergencies will be replaced. 4.People who leave to troll will be replaced. 5.People who leave for any number of perfectly reasonable, "human" reasons for leaving will simply be replaced.
Everyone, Everyone will be happier. Solo-queue teams will never be a Champ. down. Surrogates will be rewarded with points and the esteem of an entire team. The ranked system in solo-queue won't be skewed by losing or winning based on leavers. Each and every player will have the confidence that their game won't be ruined by leavers.
Potential for team voting to remove hostile players. There is a need for policing in any community. That is to remove undesirables. My notion is that undesirables are only so for a certain amount of time. Humans have any number of awful things stressing them out. League should never be one of them. If it turns out they bring their hostility into their team that team should be 100% capable on removing that person.
What's wrong with leaver buster? People still leave games. All the time. I do, and I've been banned multiple times. There are times when I can't help it. I can't predict how long a game will take nor can I predict that the players on my team will put me in a bad mood. I can't say that what I do won't put them in a bad mood. What if I take teleport instead of another skill for instance.
