Ivern doesn't get full exp or gold from his rescuing of krugs in preseason 7.

I don't know if this is intended behavior or not but it doesn't seem very fair. Any other jungler that kills krugs along with the little ones gets 160 gold and a total of 400 exp at level 1. Ivern gets 80 gold and a total of 280 exp at level 1. I'm wondering if this is intentional.

that's a huge issue.

Ivern doesn't spend extra time to clear the later-spawning krugs while others do, so he shouldn't get the extra gold too.

I remember a Rioter mentioning this when they first implemented the new jungle, and apparently it's intentional. I really don't like that choice, though. Not only is it completely contrary to Ivern's theme (why is he exploding the Krugs instead of saving them), it messes up his clear in a manner he has absolutely no way of playing around. If the intention was to prevent him from killing harder camps too easily, then the solution should be to simply increase the cost and/or warmup time of his Groves on those. If that happens, it would be nice to also remove the health and/or mana cost to putting a grove on the Rift Scuttler.

They already adressed it and Riot said it was intended. He insta clears the current camp. If someone on his team passes and kills one of the krugs, He'll get to save more of them. Maybe there is something to do with this.

But i mean it's kind of compensated. I heard most junglers are completly incapable of facing the frog camp now. It's too strong early game but ivern can just one shot it.

It seems balanced to me.

It is intentional (for now). They said that's just kinda the pay off for him since he doesn't have to sink the extra time into them that others do now.

i have 62k ivern mastery and i hate jungling him to because everyone clears faster and he's too squishy invade

It's most likely intended. It would be unfair if he did get the gold, simply because he can smite the camp in one shot, coming out with full health at level one and doesn't need to spend much time in that camp at any point in the game. He can also steal an enemy's krugs just as fast. If he got the full gold that could become OP.

I don't like these changes it seem to just cripple some jungles first clear. Vi Shyvana and some other jungles have no problem in it but some with weaker clear struggle so much.

i kind of like them as sion

with my aoe i clear krugs fast and they give a lot of hp now

Probably because Krugs became a lot more time consuming for other junglers to clear, whereas Ivern still has the same clear time on each camp. Just my guess.

Riot stated that it was intended. He does't have to deal with all the little kruglings and lose out on a ton of health in the process, not to mention they can be his second clear unlike any other champ.
