Is this even fun anymore?

Ive been playing League for about 4 years, uninstalled it 6 times over those years, longest ive ever gone without touching it was 4 months and i was probably at my happiest at that point but i still came back. League has been a constant thing i could do with friends but the problem is ITS NOT FUN ANYMORE. I cant remember the last time i played a game be it ranked, normals, or arams where i can say i honestly had fun unless i was just destroying everyone. Im not blaming riot for it because really other than catering to the pros and ignoring the normal players nothing has changed. The player base is immensely toxic but it always has been, that is just how all moba's seem to be. I just cant have fun anymore in this game and i dont know why.

every NEW game feels fun unless it sucks

When a game is NEW/fresh to you, you are enjoying yourself much more, regardless of outcome. When you're new and kinda learning, you could get utterly shit stomped and still kinda have a decent time if there arent massive flamers

After a few years (or months for some people) that NEW novelty factor wears off, and if you genuinely enjoyed the game, you'll stay for awhile.

This is how i personally feel why everyones saying that league just isn't fun anymore. I'm sure it's insanely entertaining to anyone actually new to a moba game

I just play bots( vs ai), get first win of the day bonus ip, maybe 2-3 games after that every night. farm every week for 1700ip. buy a mysterious champion shard, disenchant the ones i already have or dont like, to make one i do like permanent.

do i play normals? no. do i play ranked? no. have i ever been banned? no.

IS IT FUN? to me, YES.

I tell myself I'm playing it to hit gold, but the secret truth of the matter is, I just want to unlock all the champions without having to buy them and ranked is competitive enough for me to try and convince myself otherwise. I don't even play 95% of the champions I own anymore.

This game was NEVER fun!

You either win and crush your opponents to make them miserable or lose and feel miserable yourself.
