Idea to fix trolling at new champ select
In the planned and upcoming champ select players have to show off to their team mates what they are going or planning to pick. This caused an instant discussion about trolling where other players then might ban those favorised champions in order to annoy their poor team mates. This is especially possible since Riot distributed the bans to three different players which lowers the inpact of a troll-attack but increases the chances that a troll receives a ban pick.
My idea to finally address this issue is the following: The whole team should decide what champion should be banned. For this, every player receives a vote to ban a certain champion. After a specified amount of time (e.g. 15 seconds) the champion with the most votes gets banned. If there is no champion with the most ban votes a random voted champion gets banned in respect to the voting count. So if 2 players voted to ban champ A, 2 players voted to ban champ B and only one voted to ban champ C then the chances that A or B are getting banned should be higher than the ban for C.
This further reduces the trolling and further decreases the impact of a single troll in a game. This mechanic also emphasizes better team play and forces players to coordinate themselves as a team even before the game starts.
Please tell me what you do think about this idea!
@Riot: I am really looking forward for this epic new champ select, so please make it as epic as possible! ;)
