What is Jayce?

I got Jayce back in March, and I haven't used him in a while, but when I did, I went top lane. My friend just got Jayce yesterday and said that it's a known fact that he is a mid laner. I think it's just opinions.

Jayce can be played what ever lane you feel building him for he is quite versatile. Ive even seen him jgl

In retrospect, about any champ who can solo lane, could go either top or mid. Jayce is commonly seen in the Mid lane because he can make effective use of Blue buff. Also cause his massive poke is excellent in the mid lane position.

Of coarse this is a matter of how you want to use him. A top lane Jayce, might have a more split push focus. But experiment, and figure out what you like.

He can be played top or mid.. or abt anywhere actually. I think he was played mostly mid in season's 4 LCS

As a Jayce main in this meta i personally think it is better if u play him top lane then mid lane because when playing top lane most of the champions are melee based champion while you are both ranged and melee this gives you more damage early game and zone the enemy out but you must be careful for the enemy team jungler.
