[Discussion] What would be the Pros/Cons to allowing the same champion to be on both teams in ranked

And would it be ultimately worth it?

Ill start.

Pro: Even more possible diversity in games; when certain champions are considered very strong one team does not necessarily have an advantage

Con: Less diversity when certain champions are too strong; may not be as interesting for LCS.

Part of the ranked experience is being able to deny certain champs to your opponent (beyond bans), so that's another con.

Pro: no more losing picks to the enemy team Con: less variety.

Mirror lanes are super boring and because of how the draft phase works they would be incredibly common. Anytime a team is slightly fuzzy about what would be the best pick, they can instead grab a mirror lane to "counter" broken with broken.
