Just played a game and our Urgot executed a Morgana with his ult and he said "I am all the weapon I need." He only says that when executing an enemy Darkin plus Morgana heals from abilities much like Rhaast and Aatrox AND Varus did say hes looking for his SISTER. Rito pls dont get lazy and rework her into a Darkin just release a new champion its WAY cooler that way.[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
I would wait for the kayle/morgana reworks to come out. Urgot also has an interaction with Swain about his arm before Swain was reworked. They must be planning ahead.
Morg doesn't have a weapon. Darkin are living weapons, lol. So she cannot be darkin.

I know they both very badly need a VGU (I am reminded of this every time I have to deal with Kayle's nonsense ult) but making them Darkin would be awful. Since there are only 2 Darkin left I would much rather they were new champions. Morgana doesn't even have a weapon!
At any rate I thought we already had a pretty good roadmap of the next few champs getting reworks and I didn't think they were on it.
I'm also pretty sure that's what they're planning to do with Morgana and Kayle, but I don't see how they could do that without redefining what Darkin are or at least broadening that definition quite a lot.
Whatever happens with the lore (I feel like there's no point caring whether it makes any sense when it's in such a constant state of flux anyway), I just hope this doesn't mean Morgana is going to be completely overhauled around a new weapon (seeing how she doesn't have one now, it's just her and her sorcery) and that she'll become such a completely different champion that she won't be Morgana anymore - we've already seen this happen to many other champions (albeit generally the more obscure ones).
But I can easily see how Riot (in their current state) would conclude that her black shield was "too much of a problem" ("Can you imagine if she were POPULAR?" à la Veigar) and that her trademark super-long root was just too "unfun" for opponents.
I'm convinced they're making a Darkin for every role. We're only missing mid and support now.

Blackthorn Morgana is basically a direct referance to Morgana le Fey. Making them into darkins would be quite an insult.
Why does it fit for Morgana to be a fallen angel? Because in the mythologies, she's is sometimes confused with Morrighan (goddess in the celtic myths) And Morrighan was a Lilith (aka: a succubuss, aka: a demon, aka: a fallen angel).
Her lore had more depth than a lot of other characters in league since it expanded beyond league. Making her into a darkin? Well, it wouldn't surprise me since they did ruin the entire Diana - Leona thing. Why wouldn't they ruin some more of their concepts.
Morgana is going to be the next Darkin. And here is why...

and she is holding a whip. Now I think what Riot is trying to do is the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse like many are saying and here is why. Let's use the game series Darksiders for a minute.
In Darksiders there are 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse: War, Death, Strife, and Fury.
War is the embodiment of war itself and carries a massive greatsword. Who do we know that wields a big greatsword?

Death is the embodiment of, well, death. His signature weapon is a scythe that can break apart into smaller scythes. He is also the edgiest of the four and looks visually similar to 
in a way. So this is Kayn/Rhaast.
Strife is someone that we have yet to see in the Darksiders universe, BUT in every concept art or picture of him we see him wielding two guns. Yes I am aware that two guns is Lucian BUT Riot instead went with 
to be the ranged champion of the Darkin.
Now we get to Fury. She is the horseman(horsewoman?) to be the one with a WHIP and the only female of the four. Since Morgana's concept was supposed to have a whip this is where I say that she is going to be the next Darkin. I will probably get ripped a new one for saying "she is going to be one because she looks the same" but it is definitely the only possibility that could fit here. She fits the Darkin look as well.

The only problem. is far older than and the Darkin role. When was developed the Darkin weren't even made up yet.
If the quote is true she might hold a connection to the Darkin. Maybe she allied with them,because she taught they had been done wrong or didn't agree that they should be killed?
All the Darkin are/were actually imprisoned within the weapons and Morgana doesn't poses one ( not counting her bra-strap ). However on her earlier design concepts included a various weapons.

as a morg main in my secondary support role, i have been dreading her "rework" becuase i got asburdly luycky with my first rework of of my main nidalee in 4.10, then they ruined 
my main jungler, then they took a champ i didnt play 
and made his reward amazing,
so of that pattern continues.. if they rework my bae they going to ruin her!!! [sg-janna]
God I hope not. Not every dark demon-esque being needs to become a Darkin. Nothing about Morg makes her fit that theme.
What logic drove you to post this to "gameplay"?
