My LP is jacked

Quick question guys how much LP do you usually earn after winning a ranked match? I went on like a 5 win streak and my LP wouldn't go any higher than 17 but when i lose a game i lose between 20 to 23 why is that happening? A couple of people have told me its be cause of my mmr but I've check and my mmr is up to par with my usual rank and I have a positive win ratio is there something I'm missing? I just lost promos and went all the way down to 60LP. Losing more lp then earning makes it very difficult to climb, the lp i earn by winning 4 games i lose it all by losing just 2 games maybe even a little extra I just don't find that fair at all. I have a friend thats much higher rank than me he says that he earns around 20 lp sometimes 23 when on a streak and that he only loses 18 or maybe 19 wtf man someone explain to me whats going on??

I'm curious where you checked your mmr? OP.gg shows you over 100 under the average for your division, which would explain the large lp loss.

It's because you are boosted. Actually though not trolling (I'm not just calling you a boosted animal hehe xd, well kinda), try solo Q and the amount of LP you win will increase after like 20 games.

It's to do with your mmr, and the only way to 'check' your mmr is to look at your LP gains/losses.

3rd party sites are just estimates and don't have access to your true mmr which only riot knows, and sometimes their estimates are off.

If your mmr is around where it should be for your rank, then you gain ~20 and lose ~20. If it's below you'll lose more and gain less, and vice versa if it's above.

You'll just need to go on more win streaks to get your mmr back on track, and eventually it'll level out again.
