A New Way of Ranking

Over the course of the last few weeks, I have been playing more and more in the ranked solo queue. It has been my attempt to move from Bronze II to Bronze I and then on to Silver and so on. However, in each game of ranked, I have been placed on teams with trolls, toxic people, and poor players. This has led me to be demoted from my original placement (Bronze I) to Bronze II and just today, to Bronze III. My grade during each of these games ranged all over the place, but most of the time, I got either an A or a B.

My personal play in each game greatly affected the gameplay, and yet I have been demoted time and time again. My steady fall through the ranks has made me increasingly more frustrated with league of legends in general. I want the grade that I deserve, and the placement in ranked that I deserve. I continue to get demoted because of failing teams, people who refuse to act as a team, trolls, toxic people, and so on. My ranked experience is very poor because I have been punished in rank because of how my team performs rather than how I perform.

Is there anyway in the future that players will be ranked based on how they play alone rather than if their team wins or not? I keep losing LP every time I lose, and my team is the reason I lose most of the time. I am not pretending that I am a perfect player. I mess up all the time. I want to try and get better as a player and as a teammate, but as I continue to get demoted time and time again, I can't help but feel that League hasn't brought me the enjoyment it has before. Rather, it has brought me stress and annoyance. I truly love the game and I would hope that each individual who plays has a good experience.

Will there ever be changes made so that I am rewarded for how I play rather than how my team plays?

The irony of this kind of comment is that you are very aware and annoyed to a certain extent that your team mates mess up, but you are perfectly OK with you "messing up all the time". You believe that your performance had not as much influence as your team mates had.

Have you ever thought that they think about you the same way you think about they? They probably see you dying alone and say "why is this guy playing with me?"

Here is my advice for you: train and stop "messing up all the time" and stop thinking that all your mistakes are forgivable when you think your team mates mistakes are not.

You are playing against people with the same level as your team and they mess up to the same extent as you guys do. Keep in mind that bronze is the easiest of all 7 elos and that if you are struggling to climb maybe you need to review exactly what is holding you down (tip: it's not your team mates).

I see where you're coming from. I am the type of person who realizes and accepts that my mistakes annoy others as well. I use 3rd party apps to analyze my gameplay to determine how well I play. I am almost always ranked as a silver or gold player. (There are other outliers, such as platinum and diamond games, but mostly just silver and gold).

I will say this however. I am a top laner, and 8/10 times I will go positive or even in my lane with good cs. I uphold my end of things. The games that I was complaining about in my original post were games that were lost due to a bot lane that went 0/8/0 for the first 25 minutes of gameplay. Similar situations happened with junglers, mid laners and the like. I typically play top lane, unless I get autofilled. I'll say the games that I do the worst in are when I'm autofilled.

Overall, I agree with your message, and I respect your comment. I try to play as a person who is accepting of other's mistakes as well as my own. League of Legends is a hard game to play. I'm currently looking into coaching options so that I can continue to improve my current gameplay. At this date currently (6/13/2017) I have only been playing for 10 months (I started last August). I look forward to climbing through the ranks and minimizing mistakes in my own gameplay while executing efficiently regularly. I don't want to be a selfish or toxic player, rather, I would like to be a teammate that can be relied on, and respected.

Also it sucks but we can't do much about toxicity on that elo. :( Try muting people that say bad stuff and report in the end.
