Leveling a new account has been by far the most painful process. You are given NO control over your runes, summoners etc... the matchmaking is absolutely horrific... Sincerely think this is why the game is loosing player base. Getting matched up against smurfs with actually brand new players on my team.

Not only this, the lack of role picking in the first levels before you're allowed to draft pick.... there should be a better way to have veterans be able to just play normally. Like an arcane comet default ezreal..... no... just no....

and also, if you sort of know how to play, you get paired against assassins with flash and ignite... and you're sitting there like a teddy bear with heal and ghost.

This is from the standpoint of the game losing new players.... you get a 25 kill riven smurf against a brand new kid.... extremely hard to have fun this way.

Firstly is there any evidence that this game is losing player base (not doubting just everyone keeps saying that but no one has any proof)

I agree that it feels awful to lvl up an account, and that they need to either have more limiters for players under lvl 30 to get matched up with lvl 30s or let the new accounts have more freedom in the form of faster access to runes and summoner spells.

For the most part i personally think that if you are an actual new player then you should play bots for the majority of your lvling (that is up to lvl 20 when you start getting reduced exp for it) simply because you can learn the game alot faster and you will get punished less for not knowing the game.

As for smurfs, they dont encourage it specifically but smurfing is allowed. They do have certain methods of separating smurfs from new players but that doesnt always work. Not to mention that in mobas knowledge is everything. If a bronze player is playing vs a bunch of new players then the bronze player can still stomp simply because if the knowledge difference, but the difference in skill and knowledge is increased exponentially with higher ranks.

They need to improve the bots so that your not useless when you start doing pvp because simply put if your just jumping into pvp you have almost no clue whats going on because the bots are too easy and dont give an actual challenge. Other strategy or moba games have a way better ai system such as Sc2, Smite, and Dota. If they improve the bot system to the level of Sc2 then that will be great.
