I'm not sure how I feel about this new emote idea. It can come off as sort of degrading to some players due to the fact that the game is pushing you to use some bubbly cartoon for something you may take seriously. Sorry but if an ally starts to int. I'm not going to politely use the the Blitzcrank question mark towards him, not because I have constructive criticism which would probably get me banned, but because I couldn't afford the amazing emote. Kappa 2 things I hope to see happen.

I want to see a mute button added for emotes, not just the cartoons, but the fresh mastery-spam emotes too.
I don't want to see emotes in my Hextech loot. I want to see a 6300 ip champ instead because grinding ip for champs is beyond ridiculous -- especially for new players.

I just bought an emote today. They're actually pretty cool and satisfying for your team. it's like a morale booster when you camp someone into having 14 CS at 10 minutes, and you spam the "clean" emote and the thumbs up emote to your laner.

This is exactly what I mean. Riot says these are there to help you to stop typing and focus on your gameplay, but now we are just focused on another way to tell the other person they suck. At least this way riot makes money I guess.
