How are we graded?

Before the recent patch it was nearly impossible for me to get an S- on Ezreal or any of my ADC's. However now I am almost to lvl 7 (need 1 more token) and I am curious as to how we are graded game by game. Is it in comparison to how you have been doing or an overall grade compared to what other people are doing.

Also did they reset the grading system. I went 10/6/6 and got an S. Before I have gone 15/0/2 and got an A. Has the grading system been revamped?

Grades are relative both to your champion's overall performance and your teammate's overall performance. I've noticed a lot that ADCs can solidly get A+ games through ridiculous scores like, in your case, 15/0/2, but that support that played just as well as them may have a score like 2/0/20 and also got credit for warding everywhere and being present at every major objective has the S. It's difficult to get multiple S grades in one game, in my experience especially over 2, is what I'm trying to say.

KDA (slightly), CS, wards (placed and destroyed), & objective participation are probably the main things to keep an eye on. Also it grades you against other players who play that same champion/role combination.

Ezreal right now is right below Lucian as the most popular ADC right now so that might be making it harder.

On a Bell Curve.

Which is a joke.

Unless proven true.

Ok. Thanks for the replies. Does the grading include past games. I have found it harder and harder to get another S for different champions. For example last night I got 2 S- and 3 S grades. This was with Jhin. However, when I play ezreal, it is a lot harder to get an S grade. Bow Hunter explained how ez is one of the more popular ADC's and therefore more people play them and an S is harder to get. I'm not sure of this. Just because he's popular doesn't mean that every one is doing well with a chosen champion.

Anyways does the grading system compare your past games with different adc's. It shouldn't if it does IMHO because each character have different play styles. For example Ezreals' mechanics are a lot harder to master than Jhin.
