Hide and Seek

Hide and seek was a popular custom game on the map The Crystal Scar(Dominion Map). From what I can recall, one of if not the most popular type of game to see in the join custom list. Riot later took the mode Dominion away which happened to take The Crystal Scar map too. People have been trying to play hide and seek on Summoner's Rift, but I am quite sure people will agree with me, it isn't the same as the old map. If you look through the forums you can tell a lot of people try for this becoming a game mode, but it's pushed off by Riot. I have a strong belief that hide and seek could become almost as popular as URF itself. Riot doesn't even have to do most of the work themselves, they can just take all the ex hide and seek players into a beta for them to help design the game how it should be. A joint Riot and community project would be pretty cool and prove to us that they don't only focus on pro play. If you haven't played hide and seek and are reading this, you might not understand the importance of this game. Ask a player who has played it and unless they were trolled it most likely will be a positive response. If we want a bigger say in what is happening to our favorite game, we have to come together! Vote for hide and seek! Even the smallest steps like this could help!

I never played hide and seek on the Crystal Scar. I played it with friends on Summoner's Rift. It worked well.

We were told, as hiders, that we were allowed to use abilities but were not allowed to hurt the seeker. So I played Veigar most of the time and stunned the seeker to get away and help other hiders get away.

My sister played Fizz most of the time and hid in the bush near the bottom lane minions. When they died, she got xp and leveled up her Playful/Trickster ability to reduce the cooldown. The seeker could get levels by killing jungle monsters and/or lane minions, making it easier to kill the hiders when he found them.

What r the rules?

The old rule was that Hiders (5) had to run away, and could only use spells that do more than just damage the seekers. CC abilities were acceptable. Seekers had to find the hiders and kill them a set number of times (I think the number varied). Hiders could run away when seekers found them. Also, nobody could capture points.

With healing shrines and speed shrines on the map and passive xp generation, it worked pretty well. Not so much on SR or TT. ARAM has the passive XP and healing shrines, but you really can't hide in ARAM map.

Making this into an actual gamemode could help adjust the buffs so that seekers can't just be killed with CC (this happened sometimes), make recall quicker or uninterrupted, give speed/damage boost, and/or hiders become squishier and/or faster, etc. Basically how ARAM used to be a custom user-made gamemode, but became official.

Thank you for covering that up for me, but I'd like to also mention that with camouflage champions now they might be able to be included. It is hard to tell for sure, that might be a good vote if riot would decide to make this a game mode finally. item 2055 item 3364 item 3462

is this catch teemo or a different game entirely?

A different game. The hiders are not allowed to play stealth champions. The seeker must find them (and kill them, the way I played it).

Had a lot of different rules based on whoever made the custom, but was hard to enforce.

They are somewhat older posts to see because of how long it has been since the deleting of Crystal Scar. People just started giving up on it, but I was hoping one of them would be successful with enough support. When I realized it was going no where I finally got to making my own discussion about it. Thank you for the time you took to at least read mine! item 3107
