Evelyn reworked Q ability

Hey there community, I've been enjoying the new Evelynn a lot, but there's one thing that keeps bothering me. After evelynn's initial q cast, she's unable to recast q when she loses vision of her target. Due to the small time window of the recast, you can quickly lose out on a lot of damage just by your enemy walking into a brush. It makes jungle invades and ganking/fighting stealth champions a real pain. You can't hit akali/talon/kha'zix/... when they go stealth. The amount of damage that you can dodge by breaking vision feels too much for me. This has lead to a lot of anoying getaways and lost 1v1's and it doesn't feel like this is a meaningful feature to this ability. Regardless of this Riot did an amazing job giving Evelynn a more interesting and interactive gameplay. Any thoughts on this?

I'd love to play Eve but, she's like the only assassin without a gap closer (her ult doesn't count). And because of this, she is unplayable as far as i'm concerned :(

So, my thoughts on Eve's rework is that it failed, like many other reworks riot did. Gl to you people trying to main her, but without a gapcloser, meh, just meh.

Imagine playing Zed without his W, Diana without her R, Katarina without her E, Ekko without his E, Akali without her W or R, LeBlank without her W. Very very difficult. Hence, I see no value in learning her or using more time to play with her.

While I like the charm idea, and it adds counterplay to her kit. The lack of gap closer is fatal to her viability as a hero

No point in having a gap closer when she doesn't deal any up-close damage.

Every other assassin has a reason to be in melee range, eve has an 8s cooldown melee range ability and then does nothing and has no movespeed to kite or do anything with.

Her spikes are even on a massive cooldown

she does do a large amount of damage because her charm will shred the target's MR, and her ult is one of the strongest assassination (damage+escape) ultimates in the game (which could be even better if the double damage part would happen at targets below 50% hp, not just 30% hp).

That together with her E and a Q, you can burst someone down very easily and quickly, the problem however is that you won't get there quite often. And while the charm is a nice 'thematic' addition, its also very unhealthy on an assassin. Getting bursted down while you are CCed sucks quite a lot.

For her to be a good and healthy champion. Charm would have to be removed and replaced with a slow (at least the enemy can fight you back while you try to murder them). And either Q or E needs to be a gap closer of 400+ range.

Maybe she will be better with the new rune system where you get a channeled flash you can use as a gap closer much more often. But still very difficult to pull it off. I like her concept in general, but, riot forgot assassins need gap closers and gave her an escape instead. Which is sadly a result of their perception that assassins need escapes, while rengar, nocturne, diana, akali as examples work (or worked) good as assassins without escapes, but they had ways to get on their target. And... well.... assassinate.

Somehow they remembered to still give talon a gap closer, but they forgot that about Eve.
