Bringing Lux into the meta.

Snipawolfe··3 votes·994 views

Very simple suggestions to bring an immobile mage back into meta. Honestly I'd like to see all of the older kits modified a little to bring champs like Brand and Lux back into at least some kind of viability against all of the champions who can dash, flash, gap close, and leap after every auto attack, but rebalancing and up-tuning can take time since a small ripple of a balance change can cause a world of upset.

  1. Give her (just her) a small boost of MS on casting her shield. Not even necessarily as large as Ahri's.

  2. When her E pops, have the slow proc and decay over maybe 1.0s or so. For 130 mana at max rank, it might as well slow AND do damage when it goes off.

Opinions?

Someone has obviously never been in the Lux mid meta before.

Nobody wants that again. But still definitely the Zed/LB/Ahri meta imo. Lux is already as fine as she is.

The last thing i need is being constantly snared and 100-0

Constantly snared? Do you even know how long Lux's CD's are? Also her snare is a slow moving skill shot with LOT's of counterplay to it. All OP is saying is to give her some kind of mobility or defense against all the highly mobile and bursty champions that are popular right now, ie: zed, ahri, lissandra, fizz, rengar, etc etc.

went 10 and something my first time lux. 0 skill. easy snare, easy slow, huge damage AA, easy ult, free shield.

Try Xerath then, he does that but with less mana problems.

i think xerath takes a bit more skill than lux.

Maybe you should play her more so you can get out of Bronze...

lol you're plat from 5v5 get carried kid. I don't play easy champs because they aren't fun so there's that.

EDIT: Just checked too, you go negative almost every game.

48% win rate in Bronze and thinks Lux is OP as well as someone who thinks 4/10 games is "almost every game."

Your analytical skills are as bad as your gameplay, apparently.

Are you jealous that I play against Diamonds and Masters in normal queues?

Creamy Seaman1 votes

wot? you have played 8 solo q games last season, 6 of which were losses so you got your friends to carry you to plat in 5v5.

Cry some more kid.

You must not be able to read because your vision's blurred by tears. It's okay. I'd cry and not know what I was talking about if I was Bronze too.

Hi. Lissandra Rengar Gap closers, snares, invulnerability, damage, and stealth. Why can't Lux have a little of the OP pie?

Creamy Seaman1 votes

i hate lissandra too. But rengar takes some skill so he can slide.

I like those changes but giving lux more survivability than she already has would make her incredibly overbearing. A good lux still has little difficulty stacking a mejais and rolling faces from miles away even in this meta. Nobody likes being deleted from off screen by champs like lux/xerath/ziggs. Being able to close on them and kill them if they slip up on positioning is the only thing that keeps everyone having fun in games they are in.

As overbearing as Ahri with 3 dashes, a stun on a line skillshot, very relevant spellvamp every 3 spellcasts, and a 200+MS boost on spellcast? Or as overbearing as Zed who can ult into your back line and the farther you kite from him, the more distance and safety he gains when he returns to his ult shadow? Or perhaps as overbearing as Leblanc who has a dash every 6 seconds at max cooldown, chains that slow then bind, and point and click nukes?

Frankly I'd rather have a lot of overbearing champions than a handful. I don't want her to have Ahri's level of a speed boost on her W because I think it's bullshit but handing her a little utility and NOT gimping her for blowing E up would put her on a similar plane of existence as other mid picks right now.

#2 is too much like Gragas Q in my opinion. I feel like if they made it so that proccing her passive would return a bit of mana would solve her problems (but this is like Xerath a bit, so its not a perfect solution).

The only thing she even needs someone to look at is her mana costs otherwise she is fine as is.
