As you can see by the title I am considering being a jerk/noob and buying Darius. I am worried though that he is going to get nerfed and I'm gonna be left with a nerfed, unplayable champ? Help me please. Any help is appreciated.
darkmatchwaldo2 votesHe's already declining in strength, you kinda missed his "OP" phase post rework. I'd say don't bother, there's better picks. Sure he can bully a lane but he can't solo carry like he used to. With ADC's getting buffed, he gets kited to all hell now. If you don't have him i'd suggest picking up Udyr and learning to play him top lane. He has a skill order for every matchup and a WIDE variety of builds. Got a tough matchup? Max W and farm it out. Team need a tank? No problem. Want to split push like a boss? Go ahead! His ability to proxy farm if you're running 
and maxing R is hilarious. He's also really good at zoning the enemy off farm if you get a tiny lead. He sets up ganks EXTREMELY well. He synergizes really well with the most broken item currently in the game 
. I've been having a blast playing him top lane.

darkmatchwaldo1 votesI mean if you're playing udyr and you're getting kited you're kinda doing it wrong. Unless you're 
it's kinda hard to kite udyr, most people mess up and die hard. Even if you have a dash
, udyr doesn't care. He's got a solid movespeed boost on a spammable CD and a shield to mitigate the damage you're doing while you kite. He'll chase you straight to your nexus if you let him. Darius doesn't really have an option other than walk straight at them or flash.
The point i was trying to make in my post was that Udyr is flexable. He has lots of build paths and skill orders. Darius is pretty one dimensional and has been a bully for so long that most people can deal with him now. If he doesn't get SUPER fed he can't really split push anymore and he isn't the best in teamfights. With Udyr you can get absolutely crushed in lane and still be an awesome split pusher if you do it right.
Don't get me wrong, darius isn't a bad champ. I just find him kinda boring to play and he doesn't really bring anything that other champs can't do better. Udyr has the ability to do a different build and scale his levels in different ways for every single matchup he has. I just find his playstyle a lot more enjoyable than Darius and wanted to share that.

darkmatchwaldo1 votesThat's why i pretty much never team fight with him, i usually pick him in split push/pick comps. If you're doing it right you'll draw 2-3 people to top lane. Letting your team do pretty much anyhting they want.

darkmatchwaldo1 votesI wouldn't really say he's as effecting though. Udyr has the ability to run the hell away when they send 2-3 and go push another lane. Darius is gonna have to walk away slowly and most likely get caught. He doesn't bring the same presence in my opinion. That's the thing though, it's just my opinion. If you can split push like a boss with Darius, go ahead!

therealdragon1 votesIt depends on what elo you're in.
If you're in bronze or silver, like me, people can't kite him and he's still an op pos. If you're in gold or above, people get better at kiting. The higher the elo, the more useless he is.
So if you're around gold 5 or below, get him. People can't deal with him there. If you're above....I still say get him. If you can land your e q and w, then you're still good and able to do good with him. The problem is, it gets harder in higher elos to land it. People are better at kiting, like I've said.
