The real issue about placements

Alright, so I notice everybody gets screwed over in their placements and I don't think it's the actual system that's broken but just how league advertises it as a way for you to potentially get a "large elo swing". This is misleading, because what they really mean is you're going to drop a ton. It's the reality. I don't believe that the placements are intended to be a place to increase your rank even though that's what they suggest. The intention of placements? A positive and fun way to make you feel better about the fact your elo is going to be dropped. The purpose of this is so that everyone's elo becomes closer together, and because of that you're going to have to work up the ladder all over again. It's up to you to make the most of it.

Im so confussed by the placement formula cause i did sooo so much better this year in provisionals compared to last year (which was my fisrt season) and yet i got placed the same.

Well last year, I remember going 7-3 or 8-2 as a Silver V and I got Bronze V anyways. I've learned to accept that every season the goal is to work your way back up all over again. If you're good this should be no problem. I wish Riot would just say that though, haha

Im feeling better if this happens to lots of people then. Still sad because i dont think it accurately describes my ability. Oh well. At least i know how to carry and take objectives this season. Lol last season i was support for 8 of my provisionals. Rip.
