lil'ole hecarim passive

why not make Hecarim hecarim's passive be like vlad's and have it do its current effect (a slightly higher rate) and then add something like vlad's passive and make it do the opposite, more ad more move speed. because right now it has little impact on him and the overall gamesummoner 6 Vladimir

Don't be silly Hecarim doesn't have a passive

BunjiSumo1 votes

he could though.

Just as soon as Rumble and Renekton get a real passive.

Renekton's is that 50% more rage while below 50% hp... scary. Rumble's is... an explanation of his Heat mechanic.

fizz can walk thru minions

His passive is so minor it doesn't even encourage building movement speed on him really

Really at the moment all his passive really is "Slightly increase the damage on E"

Hecarim is actually extremely powerful right now atleast IMO. He can insta burst carries with trinity then go straight tank. He has become viable top lane because his heal was increase and his Q does not aggro minions when he hit enemy champions with it.

There is also evidence to support this, as according to Champion.gg, Hecarim has one of the highest win rates in the top lane (#7 of all top laners in the game).

You do realize why people run Teleport/Ghost and rush homeguards, right? This passive is hella strong because your E+homeguards+Ghost gives you several hundred AD for FREE.

Champion Skin1 votes

Well you can't really do that in the jungle (since you need smite) And well duh... homeguards give an insane amount of movement speed... but Hecarim is the only one who can abuse it by turning it into damage... (now imagine if you could have homeguard and distortion boots (increased movement speed on ghost and after teleport and less cooldown)... and maybe alaracity too just for good measure)

In the jungle just run smite teleport and get the chilling smite to steal movement speed, he doesn't need flash under most circumstances anyway.

No. As a Hecarim main, he does not need buffs without nerfs to his abilities. He is very strong, and I would hate for him to get a nerf hammer.

Also, I think his passive is good as it. I on average have a bonus of 40 AD end game, which is actually quite good.

i feel like "scale with themselves" passives are a little boring, although i'd like to see hec get some buffs maybe: Warpath: Hecarim gains Attack Damage equal to a percentage of his bonus Movement Speed. When Hecarim activates a spell, he gains a stack of Warpath for 5 seconds, increasing his movespeed by 5% and allows him to ignore unit collision. Stacks 3 times. At 3 stacks, Hecarim's next auto attack has him dash 200 units and knock back the unit 50 units, consuming stacks to deal bonus physical damage equal to 20% of his bonus AD.

Shhhhhut up. Leave Dota passives in that game. Icefraud actuallly knows how to make a champ.

So, for clarity, because riot loves clarity, you want hec passive to be:

Hec gains bonus move speed based on his bonus AD and bonus AD based on his bonus move speed

or just more movespeed based on bonus AD? Because AD hec isn't a thing

I believe he means the same thing as Vlad Passive Vlad passive: Hp -> AP AP -> HP (The passive does not stack with itself)

For hecarim it would be something like this I guess Bonus AD -> MS MS -> Bonus AD (The passive does not stack with itself)

Hecarim's already strong as hell right now.

He'd be broken with any buffs.

With 3 Zephyrs, dragon passive, and alacrity Boots of Swiftness you can gain 50 AD at level 18. This is about 1550 gold's worth. Jax gains like 2450 gold's worth in his passive at level 18 and Vlad gains like 2000-3000 gold. Those are just two examples, many champs double the amount of gold Hecarim gets, and this is Hecarim on a glass cannon build that nobody uses! You'll typically get like 15-25 AD.

What I'd really like to see is some for Hecarim to get some sort of sustained movement speed boost. In his current kit, his passive only seems to kick in meaningfully when you're doing a gimmicky homeguard teleport or when you use your E.

An option like the one you listed would work, although I feel like that gives mixed signals about what to build. I'd prefer an option like skarner, where Q gives a stacking movespeed bonus. Seems better both mechanically and thematically (can't run from death/being ridden down by cavalry).

Also, I'd like to see him back in the jungle. Maybe instead of changing his W, Riot should have just removed the monster damage reduction in his Q.
