What should I play in Top Lane ?

I have been playing league for a while now and I love playing in the top lane. In one of my recent match,I played Garen against Irelia . After the match ended the Irelia told me to play a champion that's not brain dead and needs some skill to play (she was super tilted). I also felt sorry for her as I bullied her the whole match with my Q whenever she tried to farm . So, I was thinking to play a champion that requires some skills to play(may be not that much as I am new). I am unable to decide what to play as don't know how most of the champions works. I would really happy if you guys could suggest me some champions . Have a nice day!!

Just play garen if that’s what you like, irelia is busted and is also pretty easy to play. Don’t listen to other people in game because as you said she was tilted and when you’re tilted you get angry and make stuff up.

If you really want a champ that takes more “skill” that is also easy you can play hecarim, he is really strong and easy to pick up.

Alternatively you could just play a bunch of random champs until you find the one you like
