This is the worst patch/season

This entire patch is just god awful. Experience earned is grossly unfair, minor mistakes ruin entire games, outcomes are decided by the 10-15 minute mark in 75% of games, you must rely on your team not to feed, and its extremely hard not to once your opponent gets 1 kill. 1 kill on an opponent creates a ridiculous snowball effect, especially with experience. Season 5 was all about providing teams different routes to victory, while season 6 is chalking up to "win lane and hope your teammates didn't lose too hard."

I didn't mind that games were 45 minutes long on average, but I understand the desire to make them shorter. I definitely don't think they did it the right way though. The whole game is unbalanced and to be honest, I don't think a few champion/mastery fixes is going to change that. They pretty much reworked the entire game to where it has an entirely different feel to it, and is creating a frustration that I have never experienced before.

Preseason 5 felt like a completely new game. Yes, there were some OP champs/items, but all in all the experience felt very enjoyable.

Preseason 6 feels very tiring. I find myself not wanting to play the game, or even keep track of changes on Surrender @ 20. Maybe I just need a break from League, or maybe there's just too much that's broke right now to feel like I should invest the time to figure out how to work around it all.

i feel like this is said after every big patch. seems change is hard to deal with

not really. preseason 4 and 5 was nowhere near as bad.

About half your complaints are things that always always always existed and at best maybe you never noticed before.

I like this patch.

how can I make a comment on this season, when it hasn't even arrived yet?

My personal experiences concerning the "snowball effect" so far tell me that its all caused by the meta shift, where carries are being played in every lane. That doesnt usually leave alot of space for mistake since overall deletion potential is much higher from top to bot. I have to admit its annoying, and in norms people do give up much faster once they notice they are on the wrong end.

As i mentioned in a previous post on the subject, i'm pretty sure the meta shift is just destabilizing to most "casual" players and its only a matter of weeks before proper balance is found. Obvious bans will become collective knowledge and people will learn to play around the OPs.

destabilizing to casuals only? really? all the plats and diamonds starting topics about how the game is no longer fun means nothing? if you mean casual by not being paid, then yes, everyone (including half of all challengers) who doesn't stream or play in the LCS is a casual.

I don't op.gg every OG on the boards. I meant "casual" as in people who play once or twice a week. They have alot of trouble figuring the game out. "Non-casuals" or whatever u wanna call them are, in my book, those regular players who play nearly everyday or on a fairly regular basis. Doesnt matter what ur rank is.

I don't mean to start an argument on the subject. I understand the game got bad for some people but im pretty sure some people like it or got used to the meta. It how people work, they will complain about what they dislike but won't ever really praise what they like with the same fervor.

I'm a Platinum player, who just got it right before the season ended. Before the patch I felt very motivated to continue playing the game, probably more motivated than I have ever been. After getting plat I felt inspired to see how much higher I can get. That being said, after the patch and a few games on the PBE, I have really lost that interest, and am extremely unhappy with how the game is played now. I have to admit, playing platinum ranked games is not quite as bad as normals, since most of my teammates know what to do, but there is still no chance to come back from a small disadvantage. This has always been a team game, and I understand the importance of teamwork, but if you don't snowball your lane, you fall behind very quickly. It's a pretty awkward situation.

I can agree with that to some extent, but people always complaining doesn't disprove that the game is imbalanced.

IMO this is just wrong. Yeah there is clearly a meta shift, or lack of a real meta at all since people are trying new things out. For one, both control an assassin mages saw no useful adjustments to items or stats to prepare them for the changes that affect AD champions. Secondly, late game champions are practically useless if you want to win the game. I'm not saying they can't be useful or successful, just like Teemo jungle can work, its just more likely that you won't get a chance to scale. Third, the snowball effect is created by the experience changes.

It's called speculation given the route that the patch is going. Like I said, it's pretty obvious some changes will be made, such as the mastery that allows Yasuo and Tryndamere to lifesteal off critical strikes on minions. But overall the game is pretty broken if you ask me, and I don't mean that regarding specific champions being OP.

This patch is awful. It has the highest win-rate disparity of any patch I have been part of. Many times there are "in meta champions" that sport a higher win-rate/competetive pick rate. This patch every role has an incredibly obvious core group of champions rocking a 55%+ win rate that completely eclipse every other pick choice.

Games are not fun and there is little to no comeback potential with the rate the game snowballs. Previous patches you could play for the early, mid, or late game, tailoring your champion to your preferences and team comp. This patch there is no late game, sometimes mid game is even non existant.

Riot has a lot of fixing to do.
