I'd like to see that evidence?

try it and you will see

I've thought of this, but never had the courage to try it. Lane? Masteries? Runes?

I've only tried it twice: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1777189778/40196668?tab=overview http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1569699947/40196668?tab=overview

I used the same runes and masteries as other marksmen. I think going into the utility and defense tree would also be good but you would miss out on some damage.

ARAM hardly counts >.<

I've wanted to try it in team builder but finding a team that will get on board has proved impossible. I still think that it has potential to be a good build.

Oh, I see. She can heal more often due to higher health regen, and can get her health through lifesteal a little faster.

Yes, and the essence reaver helps with any mana issues.

This is incredibly tempting. It's crazy enough to work! Is that the actual order you build the items? Although your heals are going to be butt, since you won't have any AP. 20% CDR is ok, but not having the full 40% sucks. I guess you can make up the rest with runes and masteries.

Well in the only two matches I've done it (links to those matches in another post on this thread), I never finished a full build (but won both times). That said, I think I would try to fit arm pen and iceborne in there somewhere.

Yea, I'll still give it a try. I'm not sure if Berserkers is the right choice. Soraka thrives on MS, so Swifties might be better. Shiv seems misplaced. Your goal isn't to deal the most damage, but rather to lifesteal a lot, so PD seems like a better choice.

MS seems redundant given her passive. If anything I would go for CDR boots or attack speed to increase overall healing (CDR for w or AS for self heal). I agree about PD.

Slayer15571 votes

You only get her passive for a tiny fraction of the time. Believe me when I say that Soraka loves any and all MS you can give her. But I need to try this build, and we'll see how it goes. It's all about experimentation, so do what you like, and see what works.

Why not bloodthirster? Also, are you playing as an ADC?

aaronautumn1 votes

Well, essence reaver would be my first choice for a lifesteal item because it supplies mana, which is something she'd need if she's going to be healing a lot. BoTRK because of the attack speed and active. Depending on the other items you build, AS might not be as important and then yeah, bloodthister would be a good choice.

Definitely adc or maybe an urgot-like bruiser. Support wouldn't be optimal since her build is too expensive.

I think I want to do this as Support. Go for Coin, and get the first upgrade, but never upgrade it, and sell it later. Skip sightstone, and buy the upgraded yellow trinket to fulfill your ward duty.

Her autoattack poke as a support would be great.

Soraka :Yes that was a banana. Chuckle No one expects the banana.

I see. Who do you think would be a good support? Someone with bad sustain but good CC would be nice, I think. Blitz or Thresh, maybe? (Or if you need to get into a team as bot duo, a traditional adc as a support would also work. Ashe, perhaps?)

aaronautumn1 votes

I think Thresh would be great. Since Soraka lacks any AD steroids, I think Nunu, Nami, or Janna would also be interesting choices.
